Technology Leadership event put together by Intel and Oracle Corporation has highlighted the flexibility, and innovation in cloud environment.

Mrs Rita Ndidi Amuchienwa, Intel country leader for West Africa, highlighted Intel’s collaborations with partners and customers in Optimizing Performance and Distributed Cloud Architecture.

She explained how to Implement a distributed cloud architecture to reduce latency and improve performance which “allows data processing to occur closer to the source, minimizing data transfer times”.

She went further to emphasize on Edge Computing and how to Leverage edge computing to analyze data in real-time, reducing the need for data to be transmitted to a centralized cloud.

“This is particularly useful for applications like athlete performance tracking. To tailor down her expertise and experience she touched on Cloud-Native Applications: – Design cloud-native applications that can scale horizontally and vertically, ensuring optimal performance and flexibility.

“Ensuring Flexibility”, she further explained “Hybrid Cloud Strategy; how to Adopt a hybrid cloud strategy, combining public, private, and edge clouds to meet specific workload requirements. This allows for greater flexibility and scalability”.

As a professional she also explained in brief ‘Enabling Data Capture and Insights’, such as IoT Sensors and Devices.

“Deploy IoT sensors and devices to capture athlete performance data, such as wearable devices, GPS trackers, or environmental sensors”.

“Real-Time Analytics – Utilize real-time analytics platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Storm) to process and analyze performance data, providing instant insights for coaches and athletes.

“Machine Learning and AI: Apply machine learning and AI techniques to athlete performance data, enabling predictive analytics, personalized recommendations, and improved decision-making”.

To round up her expertise and speech, Rita Amuchienwa touched on ‘Mitigating Challenges and Shaping the Tech Industry’.

According to her in fostering collaborations Intel and its partners alongside the customers address emerging challenges and create innovative solutions.

“It is important for our ecosystem to contribute to open-source initiatives (e.g., OpenStack, Kubernetes) to promote industry-wide innovation, standardization, and interoperability.

“Investing in Research and Development: Continuously invest in research and development to stay ahead of emerging trends, technologies, and challenges, ensuring the tech industry remains vibrant and innovative”, she added.
