Qrent Call Centres

Qrent, a leading sustainable IT solutions provider, has introduced targeted solutions for the BPO industry.

Its agile, on‑demand IT provisioning enables call centres to scale their IT infrastructure up or down in alignment with fluctuating demand.

In response to mounting pressure for both operational agility and environmental responsibility, Qrent’s refurbished‑equipment rental model delivers a suite of benefits specifically tailored to the needs of today’s BPO operators.

Sanjay Govender, Qrent’s head of BPO Solutions says BPO operators face constant fluctuations in call volumes, peak‑season surges, and service‑level pressures.

“Flexible rental agreements and on‑demand delivery mean centres can scale capacity in real time – without compromising on performance or ESG commitments,” he adds.

Qrent enables businesses to increase or decrease their hardware fleets on a weekly or monthly basis, helping them avoid large upfront capital expenditures and minimising periods of equipment under‑utilisation.

According to Gartner, 76% of BPO decision‑makers now rank the ability to scale IT resources up or down as a top criterion when selecting outsourcing partners.

Govender says by leveraging Qrent’s modular rental agreements, contact centres can adjust capacity up to 60% faster than through traditional procurement cycles, ensuring they always have exactly the right amount of infrastructure on hand.

More importantly, where standard industry lead times for new hardware can stretch to four to six weeks, Qrent reduces provisioning times to as little as five business days, with emergency deliveries possible within 48 hours.

The company achieves these rapid turnarounds through a network of local refurbishment hubs and strategic logistics partnerships, ensuring that equipment arrives precisely when and where it’s needed.

By extending device lifecycles by up to 40%, Qrent’s refurbished assets significantly cut e‑waste and lower CO₂ emissions – on average by 250 kg per unit compared to new hardware.

Qrent’s Circular Economy Framework provides full traceability of asset disposition and end‑of‑life recycling, helping BPO operators meet the most stringent global ESG reporting standards while making a measurable positive environmental impact.

“Rental of refurbished IT equipment through Qrent can reduce overall IT spend by up to 50% compared to outright purchase, all while preserving access to enterprise‑grade hardware and support services,” he concludes.
