InterswitchSPAK 6.0

In a journey that began with over 18,000 hopeful students from across Nigeria, 81 bright young minds have now emerged as finalists in the InterswitchSPAK 7.0 National Science Competition — each of them just a heartbeat away from being crowned Nigeria’s Best STEM Student.

It started in June 2025. From bustling classrooms in Lagos to quiet science labs in Sokoto, students took part in a two-stage qualifying exam that tested their command of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. It was intense.

It was competitive. And from that sea of talent, the top 500 were filtered. Then came a second wave of testing — deeper, more demanding — which finally revealed the elite 81 finalists.

These aren’t just names on a leaderboard. They are dreamers, problem-solvers, and future innovators — the kind of thinkers who will shape Africa’s technology, health, energy, and space frontiers in years to come.

Now, these 81 students are set to face off on national television, in a 13-week STEM quiz show powered by InterswitchSPAK — a flagship CSR initiative of Interswitch Group. With a top prize that includes ₦15 million in university scholarship, a brand-new laptop, and national bragging rights, the stakes couldn’t be higher.

But beyond the spotlight and applause, the real reward is the future these students represent. In the words of Cherry Eromosele, EVP at Interswitch:

“The quality of performance and commitment we have seen from students across the country has been nothing short of inspiring. InterswitchSPAK continues to deliver on its mission to identify and nurture the next generation of leaders in STEM, and the emergence of these 81 finalists marks a major milestone in this journey. We look forward to showcasing their brilliance during the televised broadcast as they compete not only for prizes, but for a chance to make their imprint in the sands of time.”

The televised show kicks off nationwide on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Tune in to witness not just a battle of brains, but the unveiling of Nigeria’s next generation of tech leaders.
