XLink, a Vodacom subsidiary and trusted FinTelco powering South Africa’s largest payment networks, has launched NovaX, a next-generation connectivity service.
Aimed at giving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to the same level of always-on connectivity trusted by major banks, NovaX was built to erase the usual complexities.
The new service is designed for businesses that cannot afford downtime. Payment processing, cloud operations, and customer engagement now depend on uninterrupted connections, but many SMEs still have issues with delays, high costs, and unreliable networks. NovaX seeks to erase those limitations.
Built on the combined strength of Vodacom and MTN’s mobile networks, NovaX offers dual-SIM failover for network resilience, preconfigured plug-and-play equipment, and a single service-level agreement managed by XLink.
The company promises setup within 24 hours, clearing out the weeks-long delays that many SMEs face with traditional telco solutions.
“SMEs deserve enterprise-grade connectivity without enterprise-level complexity,” said XLink’s Chief Information Officer, Yakoob Ahmed. “NovaX was built to eliminate the pain points we see daily—unreliable connectivity, lengthy provisioning, and fragmented support. This is about empowering SMEs with the same uptime and service quality trusted by banks.”
According to recent research, connectivity failures can cost SMEs up to 20% of their daily revenue. XLink says NovaX is not just about staying online, but about enabling growth, business continuity, and competitive advantage.
Among its key features, NovaX provides:
- Always-on connectivity with dual-path resilience.
- Activation within one business day.
- One vendor, one SLA, removing multiple points of contact.
- No-installation setup, thanks to preconfigured devices.
- Access to XLink’s national infrastructure, which already supports South Africa’s largest financial institutions.
“NovaX is redefining what SMEs can expect from their connectivity provider,” Ahmed added. “It’s about being future-ready from day one.”
With over two decades in connectivity and payment solutions, XLink is a key player in South Africa’s digital and financial inclusion space, working with telecommunications, retail, and fintech sectors across the continent.
