PromoPrint Ventures Ltd., an indigenous printing and merchandise production company, marked its 25th anniversary on Tuesday, December 2, with an elegant celebration at the Lagos Motor Boat Club.
The milestone event brought together business executives, long-standing clients, and key stakeholders in the printing and creative industries to honour the company’s journey and the unwavering resilience of Mrs. Patricia Ojora, the founder and chief executive officer.
The evening featured a nostalgic showcase of PromoPrint’s evolution, including the company’s first-ever printed T-shirt from the year 2000—alongside vibrant custom patterns produced on locally sourced Funtau cotton fabric, proudly worn by guests.
In her opening remarks, Mrs. Ojora reflected on the company’s 25-year journey, describing it as a story of passion, creativity, and an unshakeable belief in Nigeria’s potential.
“There’s nothing better than creation, turning nothing into something and doing it so well,” she said. “I’m a strong supporter of Nigeria. We don’t always need to import. We can collaborate, innovate, and build capacity right here.”
She highlighted how PromoPrint has helped shift perceptions about local manufacturing quality.
“People used to print outside the country because they didn’t trust what was available here. Today, many of those same people now print with us because we have proven that high-quality production is possible in Nigeria.”
PromoPrint operates as a full-spectrum production hub, with end-to-end processes handled in-house—from graphic design and garment manufacturing to branded merchandise, corporate gifts, roller banners, and more.
“What we are selling is peace of mind in a chaotic environment,” Mrs. Ojora noted. “With nearly three decades of consistent delivery and collaboration, we are built to last.”
She also emphasized the company’s commitment to modernization, citing the integration of AI-driven processes and advanced machinery.
“Our automated printing carousel can deliver up to 10,000 T-shirts a day, and our corporate clients can testify to this capacity,” she added.
Prominent industry leaders in attendance paid tribute to PromoPrint’s impact and longevity. Mr. Atedo Peterside, founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, commended Mrs. Ojora’s exceptional leadership:
“If you’ve kept a business going for 10 years, you’re doing something right. For 20 years, you’re doing something very correct. For 25 years, Patricia must be doing something phenomenally right. She has courage, audacity, and commitment.”
Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, renowned business leader and former chairman of First Bank of Nigeria, underscored the significance of Ojora’s achievements within Nigeria’s challenging manufacturing landscape:
“Many multinationals with global support systems have given up on Nigerian manufacturing. Yet entrepreneurs like Patricia continue to push boundaries. She didn’t give up, and that is worth celebrating.”
Awosika added that celebrating companies like PromoPrint is essential because it highlights the tenacity and value of Nigerian entrepreneurs and manufacturers.
As PromoPrint marks 25 years of dedication, creativity, job creation, and consistent value delivery, the celebration served as a tribute to the team’s hard work and the vision that has driven the company forward.
The event also reinforced the broader message that Nigeria’s manufacturing and SME sectors can thrive, powered by resilience, innovation, and leaders who refuse to give up.
