AfriLabs Embraces 19 Fresh Additions, Expands Reach to 2 Additional Cities

Anna Ekeledo, the Executive Director of AfriLabs

AfriLabs, the dominant network of technology and innovation hubs in Africa, has recently announced the admission of 19 new members to its thriving community.

Notably, this expansion includes the incorporation of hubs in two previously uncharted cities, namely Sousse in Tunisia and Baidoa in Somalia.

AfriLabs stands as a network organization steadfast in its commitment to propel innovation and entrepreneurship across the African continent.

By bringing together technology hubs, startups, investors, and other crucial stakeholders, it strives to foster a conducive environment for growth and development in the ecosystem.

With the inclusion of these fresh members, AfriLabs now boasts an impressive tally of 419 members spread across 52 countries in Africa.

Among the newly added members are prominent entities such as Enroot based in Cairo, Egypt; Entrepreneurship Centre of Social Impact-ECSI (Heliopolis University) in Cairo, Egypt; Hive 12 situated in Sousse, Tunisia; Université Senghor in Alexandria, Egypt; iZET Hub located in Nairobi, Kenya; KHUB based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; WiseHub in Kisumu, Kenya; Antler operating in Nairobi, Kenya; KV Hub situated in Lagos, Nigeria; Axia Technology and Innovation Hub based in Jos, Nigeria; Eridan Group located in Lagos, Nigeria; Mainstream Exelient Hub situated in Jos, Nigeria; and Afritech Hub operating in Tamale, Ghana.

Completing the comprehensive list is Tech Hub Harare in Harare, Zimbabwe; Acelera Angola based in Luanda, Angola; Afrisource Innovation Centre located in Windhoek, Namibia; Fondation BantuHub situated in Brazzaville, Congo; IDENTIC Foundacion operating in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea; and LPC Space located in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Anna Ekeledo, the Executive Director of AfriLabs, warmly welcomed the 19 new members into the AfriLabs community.

She emphasized that their inclusion reflects the organization’s resolute dedication to driving innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the continent. Ekeledo expressed eagerness to collaborate with these members, united in their shared goal of constructing a thriving innovation ecosystem in Africa.
