Wema Bank, a leading Nigerian bank known for its innovative approach, has recently unveiled its latest initiative aimed at empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the country.

The fifth edition of the renowned Wema SME Business School has been launched to equip Nigerian SME owners and entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge crucial for their business success.

Scheduled to take place from May 22nd to May 26th, the Wema SME Business School 5.0 will be held in Benin, Edo State.

The program will encompass comprehensive training sessions and informative lectures delivered by industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs, covering a wide range of topics related to business management and entrepreneurship.

Arthur Nkemeh, Head of SME Banking at Wema Bank, expressed the bank’s unwavering commitment to supporting the growth and progress of small businesses in Nigeria.

Recognizing the pivotal role of SMEs in the nation’s economy, Nkemeh highlighted the significance of the Wema SME Business School as a valuable initiative tailored to equip SME owners and entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge required to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape.

Since its inception in 2021, the SME Business School has successfully conducted four editions of the program across various locations in the country, including Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.

Each edition has garnered significant participation, with over 500 SME owners and entrepreneurs selected through a rigorous process of applications and nominations.

The SME Business School 5.0 extends an invitation to all Nigerian SME owners and entrepreneurs seeking to enhance their business management skills and propel the growth of their enterprises.

The establishment of the Wema SME Business School exemplifies Wema Bank’s commitment to ffosteringinnovation and drive creativity within Nigeria.
