Airbus has announced intentions to hire over 13,000 workers globally by 2023 to support the ramp-up of its commercial aircraft and face challenges in military, space, and helicopters.
Furthermore, about 7,000 of these hires will be for new positions within the organization. As a result, the new personnel will be critical in supporting the company’s industrial ramp-up as well as Airbus’ ambitious decarbonization strategy and preparing for the future of aviation.
“In 2022, we welcomed almost 13,000 new Team Airbus workers around the world, in a tough environment that challenged our resilience and appeal as a global employer,” stated Thierry Baril, Airbus’ Chief Human Resources and Workplace Officer. “Following the success of our recruitment last year, we will hire over 13,000 employees again in 2023.
We invite bright individuals from around the world to join us on our path to making sustainable aerospace a reality, as well as to assist us in creating a better, more diverse, and inclusive workplace for all of our employees,” he added.
This new global recruiting drive will focus on technical and manufacturing profiles, as well as the acquisition of new skills to support the Company’s long-term ambition in areas such as new energy, cyber, and digital.
More than 9,000 of these posts will be in Europe and the rest throughout our global network. Furthermore, a third of the total recruitment will be for recent graduates.
Airbus currently employs more than 130,000 people across its businesses worldwide. The Company also recently won the Top Employers certification in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific by the Top Employers Institute.
