Airtel India and Google Cloud have joined forces to accelerate cloud adoption and deploy advanced AI solutions across Indian enterprises.

This collaboration leverages Airtel’s extensive network connectivity with Google Cloud’s cutting-edge AI technologies, aiming to empower over 2,000 large enterprises and one million emerging businesses in India.

The partnership focuses on modernizing cloud services and making them more accessible for businesses of all sizes throughout India. This initiative targets the rapidly growing Indian public cloud market, which is projected to reach $17.8 billion by 2027.

Airtel and Google Cloud will leverage Airtel’s wide database to develop innovative AI and machine learning solutions.

These solutions will encompass geospatial and voice analytics, along with marketing technologies designed to enhance trend analysis, risk management, and consumer behavior forecasting capabilities.

Airtel has already taken a step forward by developing an Internet of Things (IoT) solution for the utility sector. This solution seamlessly integrates connectivity, Google Cloud services, and application software, streamlining deployment processes for utility companies.

To support these technological advancements, Airtel has established a managed services center in Pune. This center employs over 300 professionals trained in Google Cloud technologies and digital services, ensuring expert support for businesses.

Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO, Bharti Airtel said, “This collaboration with Google Cloud will empower us to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions across various sectors, propelling India’s digital transformation journey.”

Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud noted that the strategic collaboration with Airtel is a push forward in its commitment to accelerate cloud and AI adoption in India. “Through this partnership, we aim to develop transformative solutions that enhance Airtel’s customer experiences and expand their service offerings globally.”

This partnership is a good development in India’s digital industry. In combining Airtel’s extensive network reach with Google Cloud’s expertise in AI and cloud computing, Indian businesses will now benefit from a wider range of accessible and advanced technological solutions.
