Software solutions provider Durubata Limited has launched Appmint, an innovative AI-powered no-code platform designed to enhance business profitability while reducing operational costs.

The African digital marketplace is currently limited in access to sophisticated digital tools due to high costs and technical complexity.

The funding gap is a big issue, where only 20% of startups receive adequate financial backing, a talent shortage affecting 60%, and infrastructure issues reaching 40%.

Added to this, 35% of startups have faced cybersecurity threats, 30% are confronted with a digital divide, and 25% encounter regulatory hindrances. Macroeconomic stresses have also led to revenue declines for 46% of businesses.

Appmint is designed to address these challenges by providing user-friendly tools. The no-code, AI-driven platform integrates critical business functions, allowing users to build websites, automate processes, manage customer relationships, and access data-driven insights—all in one place.

Designed to meet the diverse needs of businesses across Africa, Appmint offers entrepreneurs and SMEs an affordable, accessible solution to scale operations in the digital marketplace.

The platform aims to enable African businesses to thrive without needing extensive technical expertise or heavy financial investment.

Jacob Ajiboye, the CEO, said the platform was built to redefine the African business industry by providing essential tools to facilitate growth. “Appmint is about creating accessible, affordable tech infrastructure for Nigeria and Africa as a whole. We’ve seen how developed countries benefit from advanced tech systems, sophisticated SaaS tools, streamlined processes, and AI-powered platforms that drive business growth. However, for African startups, these tools are often inaccessible due to high costs or are too complex and disjointed for local needs.

Our mission is to change that. Drawing from the success of tech infrastructures in developed nations, we aim to bring the same level of efficiency, scalability, and innovation to Nigerian and African startups, with a focus on the unique challenges of our region.” Ajiboye stated.

Ajiboye notef the resilience and innovation inherent in African entrepreneurs, “African entrepreneurs are some of the most resilient, adaptable, and creative in the world. But what often holds us back isn’t a lack of ideas or talent—it’s access to affordable, efficient tools that allow those ideas to grow and scale.

What makes Appmint truly unique is our agile approach. We collaborate with startups to accelerate growth and bring ideas to life. We don’t just serve as a platform—we are a partner in success, creating local impact with global reach.”

One of the unique features of Appmint is its ability to streamline business operations. The platform integrates multiple tools under one roof, enabling businesses to create professional websites, manage e-commerce, automate marketing, and handle customer service—all without leaving the platform.

Seun Tayo-Balogun stressed the platform’s all-in-one functionality while giving the product overview. She stated: “Imagine building a professional website, automating marketing campaigns, managing your online store, and handling customer relationships all from a single platform. That’s the future of business with Appmint.”

This comprehensive approach simplifies operations and also reduces costs drastically, making it a game-changer for businesses across Africa.

Supporting Africa’s Youth and Future Innovators

In alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 8, Appmint goes beyond business tools by offering free training programs aimed at building young Africans with coding and digital skills.

These training programs are part of the platform’s focus on stimulating a future generation of tech-savvy innovators, preparing them to compete globally.

Ajiboye explained the broader impact of the platform, stating, “By fostering a culture of tech innovation and entrepreneurship, we’re driving economic empowerment across the continent. Our initiatives provide African youth and startups with the skills, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Appmint is more than a platform—it’s a catalyst for transformation. We aim to equip businesses to scale, empower youth for the future, and create a tech ecosystem that drives Africa’s growth and innovation on the global stage.”

A Platform with Global Aspirations

Although built with African businesses in mind, Appmint has aspirations that go beyond the continent. During the product demo at the launch, Tayo-Balogun demonstrated the platform’s AI-powered tools. She emphasised how Appmint can help businesses scale globally, regardless of their location.

“Appmint was built to power African startups to operate without borders. Whether you’re a small business in Lagos or Nairobi, our platform enables you to scale globally,” she said as she explained the platform’s user-friendly interface and seamless integration capabilities.

Social Media and Customer Engagement

Among its many features, Appmint also simplifies social media management, allowing businesses to manage multiple platforms from a central dashboard. Users can schedule posts, track engagement, and automate social media campaigns, all within the platform.

“Imagine managing all your social media platforms in one place. You no longer need to jump between accounts; everything is integrated, making your life easier and your business more efficient,” Tayo-Balogun explained. This functionality is essential for businesses aiming to optimise their digital presence without losing time or resources.

In addition to social media tools, Appmint offers advanced customer engagement features, including email marketing, live chat, and AI-powered chatbots that provide real-time support to customers. These features help businesses personalise customer interactions and build long-term loyalty.

“There is nothing more pleasing for a business owner than being able to manage all customer interactions in one place. With Appmint, you can ensure your customers never feel neglected, and you can provide the personalised service that keeps them coming back.”

After-Sales Support and Ticketing System

Understanding the importance of after-sales support, Appmint includes a solid ticketing system that allows businesses to manage customer issues efficiently. Customers can submit tickets directly through the platform, enabling businesses to track, prioritise, and resolve queries in real-time.

She further stressed the importance of this feature, saying, “A lot of times, businesses lose customers after the sale because they fail to provide adequate support. With our ticketing system, businesses can keep track of inquiries, assign tasks to team members, and send automated status updates to keep customers informed.”

This system ensures that businesses can manage customer service without being overwhelmed, leading to better customer retention and satisfaction.

Appmint is here to help businesses scale and thrive in the digital economy without being hindered by technical or financial constraints. This will ultimately contribute to the continent’s growing presence in the global tech industry.

“Together, we will build a future where African businesses lead the way, with Appmint as the trusted partner they can rely on,” Ajiboye concluded.
