Bemigho Awala Named to GLG PR Power List 2025

Bemigho Awala, public relations manager, Moniepoint Inc.

In a resounding affirmation of a career built on creativity, credibility, and communication mastery, Bemigho Awala has been named to the GLG PR Power List 2025, a prestigious ranking that celebrates Africa’s most influential public relations professionals.

With over 15 years of dynamic experience across multiple media platforms and industries, Bemigho’s inclusion is not just well-deserved; it is emblematic of the evolving face of African PR, authentic, strategic, and purpose-driven.

A Voice across Channels and Industries

Currently serving as the Public and Media Relations Manager at Moniepoint Inc., one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing fintech brands, Bemigho has carved a niche as a communications leader with rare cross-sector versatility.

His career spans telecommunications, FMCG, automotive tech startups, and broadcast media, where he has consistently delivered impactful narratives that bridge brands and the public.

From crafting press and advertising content to producing high-quality documentaries and reality TV shows, Bemigho’s storytelling DNA runs deep.

His portfolio includes work on some of Nigeria’s most recognizable productions, including Big Brother Nigeria, The Apprentice Africa, and the corporate documentation of legacy projects like the Lagos Black Heritage Festival and Delta Afrik Charitable Foundation.

Educated, Eloquent, and Exceptionally Skilled

Bemigho is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, and the School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University, where he obtained a Master’s in Media and Communications. Beyond the certificates lies a genuine passion for education and thought leadership, he has facilitated media production courses at his alma mater, mentoring the next generation of African communicators.

A Filmmaker with a Cause

His creative journey has also been marked by award-winning achievements in film and drama. His debut short documentary, The Other Side of Life, won a joint award at the FIABCI Film Festival in Holland (2008). His later work, Hustle on a Mile, took first prize in the documentary category at the inaugural Afrinolly Short Film Competition (2013), while his theatrical performances have earned him accolades such as Best Actor at the Awesome Music & Drama Competition (2006).

Newsroom Roots and Editorial Excellence

Before stepping into corporate PR, Bemigho refined his storytelling instincts in the newsroom. He served as a News Editor at Inspiration FM, Nigeria’s first family radio station, and held editorial leadership roles in various print publications.

His background in news distillation, coupled with a natural gift for theatrical performance, gives him a unique ability to craft messages that resonate both emotionally and intellectually.

Shaping Africa’s Narrative, One Story at a Time

As he joins the 2025 cohort of the GLG PR Power List, Bemigho Awala stands among the continent’s best, not only for what he has achieved, but for what he represents: a new generation of African storytellers shaping perception, purpose, and progress.

In a time when the public relations industry is evolving beyond publicity into strategy, insight, and social impact, Bemigho’s work exemplifies what happens when communications becomes a tool for transformation.

Congratulations, Bemigho Awala, a storyteller, a strategist, a name that belongs on every list of Africa’s communications vanguard.
