[BREAKING] Cassava Network Appoints Elsie Godwin as Marketing Manager

Cassava Network, a blockchain infrastructure ecosystem, has appointed Elsie Godwin as the new Marketing Manager. 

The versatile media personality and influencer announced this, Wednesday, on LinkedIn. ​​She said: “I’m excited to announce that I am taking up a new challenge as I join Cassava Network as Marketing Manager. Our mission is to help accelerate Web3 adoption in Africa, primarily by connecting developers and users to the Web3 ecosystem.”

According to Elsie, she will work with the team, to demystify the concept of blockchain infrastructure and highlight its benefits in order to drive mass adoption. 

“I’m pumped to serve as the bridge between Web2 and Web3. I am also looking to connect with people doing amazing stuff in web3 space in Nigeria and Africa.“ 

Cassava is a multi-chain incentivizing crypto wallet that can be integrated into any existing app,dapp, or platform as a reward or payment medium.

Cassava Network has raised USD8 million in funding from leading investors, including Adaverse, Dragonfly Capital, and Emurgo.

More About Elsie Godwin

​Elsie Godwin is experienced in Go-to-Market strategies, influencer marketing and brand awareness campaigns. She was previously Head of Marketing, Brands and Corporate Communications at PennyTree where she launched the fintech business from ground up and​​ executed strategies and campaigns which saw the brand grow from zero to 11,000 downloads in 6 weeks.

She is one of the Twenty pioneer media professionals selected across the country for the maiden Media Innovation Programme by MTN Nigeria (MTN-MIP) in partnership with the School of Media and Communications, Pan-Atlantic University.

As a media personality, Elsie has interviewed over 150 successful businessmen and women in Nigeria and Africa. 

​​She is passionate about telling stories and having conversations with successful people in order to help mentor the younger generation.

The Abia State native is a graduate of Computer Science from the Lagos State University (LASU) and an alumnus of the FATE Foundation. 

She was one of the inaugural members and the first welfare officer of the Digital Media Practitioners of Nigeria (DMPN).

Her online activity is playful and easy-going with principles. She is passionate about blogging, content creation, and new media. 

As an influencer and Google partner, she currently works with various agencies to help share stories of great personalities and brands.
