The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced its intention to engage a consultant to drive the implementation of the Payment System Vision (PSV) 2025.
This initiative aims to respond to recent innovations in the financial landscape and address the growing market for payment solutions in Nigeria.
The CBN management revealed this in a Request for Proposal (RFP) note published on its official website.
In its pursuit of becoming a world-class central bank, the CBN launched the Payments System Vision 2025 (PSV 2025) as a comprehensive agenda for the payment system.
The current effort to engage a consultant underscores the CBN’s commitment to achieving its vision.
The scope of work for the consultant will include facilitating the implementation of PSV 2025, preparing and driving the implementation roadmap, benchmarking the Nigerian payment system against international standards, identifying areas for improvement, and addressing those areas based on the prioritized roadmap.
