DMM Nigeria, a digital marketing agency, said it will launch DigiMeet, an online platform that identifies the most suited dynamic digital talents and connects them to brands and businesses. The agency said the move was geared toward tackling the dearth of digital talent.
DigiMeet is a digital talent recruitment, outsourcing, and freelance platform where businesses and startups can harness the best digital talent in Africa.
Many companies are trying to get into the digital talent pool, with recruitment a major recurring problem challenge. While some smaller businesses are stuck with traditional approaches toward getting these digital talents without many outstanding results.
Recruitment, however, remains a critical step toward building the right human resources needed to pilot the affairs of any company; it is on the premise the idea of DigiMeet was conceived.
Speaking on demand for digital talent, the agency said: PwC’s most recent Annual Global CEO Survey revealed that over 70 percent of CEOs identify the “availability of key skills” as one of the top three threats to their companies.
“We observed there is a dearth of digital talents. We get requests almost every other week for the opening of digital roles to be filled.
“Then, we thought we could take recruiters to a platform where they can easily by themselves access these digital talents or where we offer bespoke services because we have a community of these experts everywhere.”
The agency said DigiMeet takes off the pressure of recruiting the right people for any business.
“As a digital talent looking for opportunities, you can sign up on the platform to be matched with reputable organizations. Also, as a recruiter, you can connect with the right digital talent when you sign up on DigiMeet.”
In the last 12 years, DMM Nigeria has grown from a community of digital marketers in Nigeria to something bigger. As the community transformed the careers of professionals who joined, the community itself has been transformed into an organization that solves bigger problems.
