Enugu State is already establishing itself as the leading destination for gaming tourism in Nigeria.

The highly anticipated Enugu Gaming Conference 2025 is set to take place at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Independence Layout, on 30th and 31st July, Techeconomy can report.

Organized by the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission (ESGC), the conference will bring together industry stakeholders to explore new opportunities and collaborations within the gaming sector.

Prince Arinze Arum, the executive secretary/CEO of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission (ESGC), told Techeconomy that the conference is building on the successes of the inaugural edition in 2024.

He said the Commission has already keyed into the vision of the State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s vision to set the State on productive economic trajectory.

In his words:

“Enugu Gaming Conference birthed in 2024 as a gathering of industry stakeholders; for key players to come and take a look at new innovation in the industry and by extension, the southeast market. How they take advantage of the growing market in this region.

“So, this year, we are offering unique opportunities to these players, again to have handshake with stakeholders in this market and even meet their customers.

“It is like a gaming festival. It is unique in the sense that is aimed at promoting local content. They all focus on the future of gaming starting from the grassroots.

“Those who want to scale up also need ideas and handholding to do that”.

Prince Arum extended invitation to critical stakeholder to come take advantage of the market, “meet young innovators in the State that have localized their ideas with the mindset of attracting global audience”.

Techeconomy can report that Enugu Gaming Conference seeks to build a bridge between local game developers and the big companies; the venture capitalists, the finances, the investors and the big operators, as well as the international gaming operators who are looking to expand to new market.

“Enugu is open to investors; this time, gaming companies and operators, payment gateway providers”, the Executive Secretary said.

Speaking further, he said “The conference was also conceived to play a key role in fulfilling His Excellency’s campaign promise and his ambition. His vision, which every appointee must work towards actualizing: To take our dear State’s GDP, from what it was when he came in $4.4billion, to $30 billion economy.

“Now, gaming and lottery as an industry, is unique in itself, and it has steadily been improving. This conference is aimed at driving investments in gaming and such investments come with ripple effects in the economy.

“The more foreign direct investment (FDI) you attract, which the conference aims to achieve by showcasing what we have to offer in terms of gaming, in terms of entertainment, and tourism, which, as you know, they have a nexus, it’s all part of connecting the dots towards the $30 billion economy, which His Excellency has promised.
