The Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission (ESGC), in partnership with Private Media Mart Limited (PMM Nigeria), has launched Responsible Gaming on Radio, a groundbreaking public education program designed to promote responsible gaming, consumer protection, and the positive social impact of regulated gaming in Enugu State and across Nigeria.

Airing weekly on Radio Nigeria Enugu and Prime Sports FM, the half-hour program brings together voices from the gaming industry, regulatory community, and civil society to explore the evolving gaming landscape in Nigeria through interviews, news bulletins, and CSR spotlights.

Speaking on the initiative, Prince Arinze Arum, executive secretary and CEO of the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission, said the program is part of the Commission’s broader strategy to ensure gaming remains safe, transparent, and beneficial to society.

“Our goal is to protect consumers, educate players, and strengthen public confidence in the gaming sector. Responsible Gaming on Radio gives us a voice to connect with the public and demonstrate that regulation is about people as much as it is about business,” he said.

Produced by Private Media Mart Limited, a leading gaming and communications consultancy, the program has already featured insightful conversations with industry experts including: Gaming Operators, Gaming Law experts, NGOs and Consumer Protection advocates.

Each episode blends interviews, news analysis, and community-based commentaries, all aimed at highlighting the importance of responsible gaming and the economic potential of a well-regulated industry.

According to Ejiofor Agada, project director and lead consultant at Private Media Mart Limited, Responsible Gaming on Radio is not just a media program but a public service platform.

“This initiative demonstrates how gaming regulators and licensed operators can use communication to drive social awareness, promote safe gaming culture, and amplify the good causes funded by gaming revenues,” he stated.

The radio program also features the CSR & Good Cause Spotlight, where the Commission showcases projects supported through gaming levies, including plans for a Responsible Gaming Helpline, youth esports development, and education support funds.

Responsible Gaming on Radio airs weekly on Coal City FM (Radio Nigeria) Enugu 92.9FM and Prime Sports Radio Enugu, reaching audiences across the Southeast and beyond.

For partnerships, sponsorships, or participation, stakeholders are encouraged to contact Private Media Mart Limited or the Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission.
