… Sets eye on affordable, quality telecom services to consumers

Fleex Mobile, a visionary mobile solutions company, bridging the connectivity gap for Nigerians, has been licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to provide telecom services as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO).

Operated by Hazon Technologies Limited, Fleex Mobile offers value from data and network connection to deliver fast connectivity at an affordable price to Nigerians.

With the NCC license, Fleex Mobile can now “operate alongside other Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) such as MTN, Airtel, Globacom, and 9mobile by riding on their existing infrastructure.

The investors and promoters of Hazon Technologies Limited led by Mr. Victor ‘Gbenga Afolabi, a serial entrepreneur, lauded the NCC for the license, while adding that the license is coming at a crucial time when the demand from subscribers goes beyond traditional telecommunication services.

“The growth of the telecoms sector is rapid and with the changing dynamics, subscribers are looking for operators that offer services that suit their lifestyles, beyond the traditional telecoms offerings of calls, data and messaging”, Mr. Afolabi told TechEconomy.

The Hazon Tech promoter further stated that the birth of Fleex Mobile will open doors to limitless opportunities for Nigerians by allowing users or subscribers to have access to a wide range of experiences and resources that enable them to achieve their goals and dreams. In his remarks, “Fleex Mobile will serve as a gateway to the desired future for Nigerians as its offerings will be complimentary to their lifestyle and needs”, he said.

As an MVNO riding on the capacity of a fully Licensed Telecommunications Service provider or Mobile Network Operator (MNO), Fleex Mobile can now own and issue its own utility-based SIM (Subscriber Identification Module); own and operate its own Intelligent network, as well as own and Operate EIR/HLR/AUC/HSS.

According to the NCC framework, what this license means is that Fleex Mobile can now assume more control of the value chain which allows it to significantly differentiate itself from its host by setting up its own Intelligent Network (IN) to provide its own IN services to subscribers.

“It can own more of the customer segment with the capacity of establishing its own Home Subscriber Register or Authentication centre, Equipment Identity Register, and Home Location Register, if it desires to.

Its capacity to control its own tariff structure and packages to a high degree allows it to generate its own revenue through traffic from its own customers but relies on a shared revenue structure with the host for inbound calls,” Mr. Afolabi said.
