Galaxy Backbone, GBB, Nigeria’s foremost provider of digital infrastructure and shared technology services, has unveiled a bold new brand identity as it celebrated its 20th Anniversary Gala and Awards Night, marking two decades of driving digital transformation across government and the nation.

The landmark event brought together government leaders, policymakers, industry stakeholders, partners, customers, and staff to celebrate GBB’s remarkable journey and its contributions to building a digitally connected and technology-enabled Nigeria.

The unveiling of the new brand identity was the defining moment of the evening, signaling the organisation’s evolution and readiness to lead the next phase of Nigeria’s digital future.

Speaking at the event, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, the managing director/chief executive officer of Galaxy Backbone, said the new identity reflects both the organisation’s achievements over the past twenty years and its bold ambitions for the future.

“For twenty years, Galaxy Backbone has remained a trusted partner in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey, connecting governments, empowering institutions, and building the digital infrastructure that powers progress,” Adeyanju said.

He noted that while the organisation celebrates its accomplishments, it also recognizes the need to continuously evolve in response to changing realities.

The GBB Boss said:

“Organizations that endure must evolve. They must grow, adapt, and continually position themselves to meet the changing needs of their customers, stakeholders, and the future.”

According to him, the new brand identity represents that evolution.

“It is a reflection of who we have become, the impact we have made, and our bold ambitions for the years ahead.  While our look is changing, our purpose remains the same; to connect, innovate, enable and deliver smart digital solutions that will drive a digitally transformed Nigeria,” the GBB Boss said.

Describing the unveiling as more than a visual transformation, he emphasized that the new identity embodies a renewed commitment to excellence, innovation, and service delivery.

“This is more than a new logo. It is a renewed commitment to excellence, innovation, and a future without limits.”

This milestone also reflects Galaxy Backbone’s unwavering commitment to advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As Nigeria accelerates its digital transformation and economic diversification drive, GBB remains strategically positioned as a critical enabler of secure digital infrastructure, seamless government connectivity, and innovative public sector solutions. Our evolution into a refreshed brand identity further reinforces our dedication to supporting a digitally empowered government that delivers efficiency, transparency, and improved service delivery to citizens across the nation.

Since its establishment in 2006, Galaxy Backbone has played a pivotal role in advancing Nigeria’s digital agenda through the provision of broadband connectivity, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions, data centre services, digital platforms, and shared ICT infrastructure for public institutions nationwide.

Over the past two decades, the organisation has expanded its footprint across the country, connecting government institutions, supporting digital governance initiatives, enabling service delivery, and providing the digital backbone required for national development.
