Galaxy Backbone Ltd (GBB) has been honored as the Best Federal Ministry, Department, and Agency (MDA) in Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure at the prestigious Nigeria GovTech Public Service Awards, held during the 2024 Nigeria GovTech Conference.
This recognition highlights GBB’s excellence in providing innovative, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure that supports Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.
The conference and awards, organized by the Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR), focused on accelerating public sector digitalization under the theme “Digital Innovations as Catalysts for the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
In addition to GBB’s organizational award, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, the managing director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone Limited, was honoured with the Distinguished Trailblazer Award for his visionary leadership and contributions toward the development of Nigeria’s digital infrastructure.
Prof. Adeyanju’s recognition underscores his instrumental role in steering Galaxy Backbone towards becoming a key player in the government’s ICT landscape.
Speaking at the event, GBB’s Managing Director expressed gratitude for the awards, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and resilience in building digital infrastructure that aligns with national goals.
“These awards affirm our commitment to excellence in public service delivery through sustainable infrastructure. Galaxy Backbone will continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the Federal Government’s digital economy initiatives,” he said.
The awards event was attended by senior management staff of Galaxy Backbone who joined the MD/CEO in celebrating the organization’s achievements.
