In a move to enhance customer care, Globacom has introduced an innovative Device Protection service in partnership with Cubecover, becoming the first telecom operator in Nigeria to offer such a solution.
The service provides cover for screen and water damage, allowing both new and existing Glo subscribers to get up to ₦50,000 in repairs or device replacement. Customers can subscribe for as little as ₦50 daily, ₦300 weekly, or ₦600 monthly.
“This service ensures that even in the case of accidental damage, customers stay connected,” said Mojeed Aluko, Glo’s head of Value Added Services. New users can walk into any Gloworld store, get a Glo SIM and device, and activate protection instantly.
To subscribe, users can dial 70131#, with fees automatically deducted from their airtime. Upon successful payment, customers complete a simple screen diagnostic to register their device’s IMEI.
Deji Macaulay, managing director of Cubecover, noted that the plan eases the stress of unexpected phone issues through quick, paperless verification, giving users peace of mind.
Glo’s latest offering underscores its commitment to innovation and supporting subscribers in today’s digital-first world.
