Leading technology company and digital solutions provider, Globacom, sponsored the premiere of the highly anticipated film, Radio Voice last Sunday.

The soiree, which took place at the popularly Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos, attracted prominent figures from various fields as well as several Nollywood heavyweights.

Radio Voice, according to Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) who is the Producer, is a story of transformation, passion, and resilience, and it stars notable actors like Nse Ikpe Etim, Nancy Isime, Deyemi Okanlawon, Damilola Adegbite, and Timini Egbuson.

RMD, while addressing the media on the red carpet, referred to Radio Voice as “the triumph of the human spirit over adversity.

It’s about the life of people on radio and their challenges and the things they have to go through; cyber bullying and the like, and succeeding against all odds. I don’t want to reveal everything about it, It’s a movie everyone needs to watch”.

“It’s time when it’s time, you know,” he said in response to a question on why he is pursuing a career in filmmaking at this moment. “I’ve produced before but this is the first time in the new era, so to speak,” he added.

Since its founding in 2003, Globacom has established a solid reputation as the largest corporate supporter of Nigeria’s entertainment sector.

In addition to enlisting a number of comedians, actors, and musicians as brand ambassadors, the tech company has hosted a number of comedy and music shows in various Nigerian cities to provide aspiring artists with a stage on which to display their skills.

The company has also sponsored a number of entertainment reality shows, such as Glo Naija Sings, X Factor, Battle of the Year, and Dance with Peter.
