Globacom has expanded its premium entertainment offering with the release of four brand-new, exclusive movies on Glo TV, all available completely free to subscribers.

The company said the new titles reinforce its commitment to enriching the digital entertainment experience for millions of Nigerians.

According to a statement issued in Lagos, the newly released movies, Johnny Just Come (JJC), Eko Vibes, Bound, and Shifting Desire, feature some of Africa’s most celebrated actors and storytellers, delivering a vibrant blend of comedy, romance, drama, cultural depth, and emotional intensity.

“Each of these movies has been carefully selected to showcase diverse African narratives while offering world-class entertainment that cannot be found in cinemas, on YouTube, or on any other VoD platform. Viewers do not need to purchase any subscription or pay any fee, access is completely free,” Globacom stated.

Leading the slate is Shifting Desire, starring Lilian Afegbai and Majid Michel. The gripping romantic drama explores themes of marriage, intimacy, betrayal, and healing as a troubled couple navigates therapy to rebuild trust. Shifting Desire premiered on Glo TV on December 2 and is currently streaming at no cost.

Johnny Just Come (JJC), featuring Nollywood icons Patience Ozokwor and Nancy Isime, delivers a hilarious cultural crossover story about an American man trying to find love and acceptance in an African household. The film explores identity, family dynamics, and cultural coexistence.

The emotional drama Bound, starring Rita Dominic and Eyinna Nwigwe, follows a successful career woman confronting long-held personal secrets and the impact on her relationships. The film showcases powerful performances from some of Nollywood’s finest.

Rounding off the collection is Eko Vibes, featuring Broda Shaggi, Josh2Funny, and Nkechi Blessing. The movie brings to life the hustle, ambition, humour, and vibrant energy of Lagos youth culture.

Globacom said the new releases reflect its dedication to delivering fresh, original, high-quality African content.

“Glo TV is redefining digital entertainment in Nigeria by offering exclusive, premium movies unavailable anywhere else. We remain committed to expanding our catalogue with culturally rich stories that celebrate African creativity,” the company added.

While Shifting Desire is already streaming, the other titles will premiere free during the Yuletide season on the Glo TV app, available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

With the Glo TV app, subscribers can enjoy seamless access to movies, series, live TV, and exclusive premium content anytime and anywhere.

Globacom urged customers to download the Glo TV app to enjoy the exciting new movie premieres.
