“In order to attain the goals of economic freedom and prosperity, Nigeria must do certain things as a matter of urgency and priority. It must provide free education ( at all levels) and free health facilities for the masses of its citizens”- Chief Obafemi Awolowo, a staunch believer in affordable  education, and  pioneer of  free education across all levels in Nigeria.

Events in recent times within has continually sent us warning signals that we should care to do something innovative about the Nigeria’s education system.

According to the 2023 statistics, a total of 452,443 candidates applied for Medicine in Nigerian Universities whereas; there are only 78,578 MBBS admission slots.

Again, Jamb revealed that 239,018 candidates applied for Social Science courses whereas, there are only 97,744 vacancies.  Meanwhile, 227,453 candidates applied for Science related courses with a total of 141,397 available slots.

For the Engineering courses, the board revealed that despite a vacancy of 68,896 in universities a total of 163,123 candidates applied.

There is also staggering data across other examination bodies, which as already, technically prevented some brilliant educated students from gaining access to quality education and by extension deprived Nigeria their contribution to the commonwealth.

The implication of the above data churned out is that, success in examination in Nigeria requires not just a studious, well calculated, stress-free and smart approach, but also a down earth approach,  system and Technology driven solution that demand good grasp and  understanding of the education sector  landscape, whilst providing corresponding solutions. And this is what Airtel-Roducate synergy has come to do.

Airtel-Roducate Exam Success bundles offers the student the ability to learn without boundaries, afford student access to quality useful materials, Give the students the opportunity to ascertain level of or track the progress made in the process of learning.

Furthermore, the  Airtel-Roducate Exam Success bundles  gives the parent the opportunity to track how well the students are doing in the course of study, given the parent-children ability to achieve success in a most pleasurable way,  whilst getting outstanding results. All these are achievable within #200- #2000 depending on the subscribed package.

For exam success plus bundle, priced at N200; it comes with a physical pack, 4GB of free Data, a complimentary Airtel Sim card, and one-month access to all Roducate learning contents and exams success modules.  To activate this bundles one can simply dial *312*451#

One good thing about Airtel-Roducate Exam Success bundles is that it does not grant access to its users to initiate other actions; it is strictly customized for academic Purpose. Customer friendly prizes range from the sum of #200 to #200 per week or days.

According to Mr Femisola Awosika, the Roducate chief operating officer,  the Airtel- Roducate initiative  has brought solution to teething education challenge in Nigeria.

The Roducate Exam Success Bundles was birthed  against the background of the success recorded in the course of the pandemic (Covid-19) when his organisation came to the aide of the student at the edge of writing the Senior secondary School Examination, but are constrained by the pandemic.

Femisola said, the success in the overture earned his organization a state recognition and award by the Lagos state Government, hence taking leap from these pilot study and successes, and banking heavily on Airtel’s people focus culture, closeness to the people and massive investment in education over the years, we was left with no options than to go for Airtel, the people’s choice.

In his words:

“Where is the success coming from???it is coming from what we did during Covid-19, during this time, we partnered with some multinationals and Lagos State Government. Particularly the students in the Secondary School two in the course of the covid-19, the students who embraced it back them had outstanding results in their respective examination. In this light, we were given a state recognition and award in respect of our contributions.

“Permit me to say that we don’t just synergize with Airtel, Our scientific search reveals that Airtel is closer to the people. We also noticed that Airtel understands the culture and Technology that draws us closer to Airtel. So what we have brought to Airtel is success.

But how does Roducate aim to achieve outstanding results?

Oluwafemi Oshinlaja,  the chief commercial officer, Airtel Nigeria,  noted that Roducate  was the first education platform to come to the aid  of students during Covid-19 and had a great collaboration with Lagos State, and a few other  States.

Airtel’s Roducate bundle is very simple product, we believe in simplicity. It’s a bundle data offering, once you subscribed, you have a dedicated data access. So, throughout the subscription period, there will be no issue of ‘I don’t have internet’, ‘I don’t have data’ and you will be able to access affordable, high quality study resources, for students across different grades.  And they will be able to access resources for various national educations. And we have done the packing with great concern for the Nigerian students.

For instance, for those seeking a more streamlined option, the Exam Success Life Bundle offers 30 days of access to the Exam Success Module for N1000.  This is accessible by dialing *312*452#.

Similarly, the Exam Success Mini bundle, priced at #500, provides 15 days of access to the Exam Success module and can be activated by dialing *321*453#.

Students can also go for the least Package, The Mock Exams bundle which costs #250 only.

This package offers 7 days of access to the Mock Examination Modules, and it is activated by dialing *312*454#

Roducate is taking a giant leap to ensure that Airtel’s network of over 50 million Customers can improve the quality of education in Nigeria. For us in Airtel Nigeria, we are keen on education; our vision is about transforming lives, where education is a key pillar to transforming life.  Even as we bring digital to lives and also aids the level of financial inclusion.

With this innovation, every child can have this on the Tablet, over the phone, Laptop; with the Parent’s Guardian of course they will also see how far they are performing online in real time anywhere you are. So it is going to be helpful for parents and Teachers and we make sure that these data bundles are affordable. That is our contribution to reducing literacy level and deepening education level in Nigeria Spanning all levels of education in Nigeria.

We believe access to quality education is crucial for Academic success, especially in this digital this partnership is beyond providing access to study materials it also fosters the culture of learning and Academic Excellence because it is very interactive, it is something that the student will like to go through it is not boring you know, this platform would get students excited about learning.

We believed with a simplified access, a low cost, a low cost, we would be able to help millions of Nigerian students out there who need access to learning materials. So we intend to tackle the existing gap in access to comprehensive cost reflective and easily accessible educational resources. And this is applicable to students across a range of users, moving from secondary school, primary, to tertiary level. So it will be of great and immense help to various categories of people in all categories, such as educational sectors, instructors, students Tutors and parents.

Affirming the benefits Roducate Exam Success is poised to bringing on board through its initiatives, Chief Yusuf Alaka, the president, National Association of Private Schools (NAPPS) Lagos Chapter said, his school and Association are the first beneficiary of the audacious, yet result abounding solution of Roducate solution.

He noted that the team of experts who developed the Education Application had in some years before now approached him for the Academic curriculum of Secondary School and came back with a solution that makes it easy for students to succeed and tutors to teach effectively.

He disclosed that his schools and others who bought into the vision succeeded successfully.

He was however sure that extending the good gesture to the Nigerian student especially through the people’s network is a great move.

To Mr. Ishmael Adeshina, the marketing director Airtel Nigeria, access to education is extremely important to  Airtel  Nigeria.

Although, education this day is becoming expensive and in this digital age, no one should be left out, developing the product, access to digital learning therefore becomes key.
