There is a new calcium carbonates manufacturing company in Nigeria that is redefining quality through innovative technology.

Launched on 6 December, Izedon Carbonates trading as “IzeCarb,” is the only integrated calcium carbonates production plant in Nigeria with a federal government-licensed and approved quarry to mine high-quality dolomite and process it into calcium carbonates.

To this end, IzeCarb operates a “Quarry to Customer” model which involves taking dolomite from mines, processing it into calcium carbonates, and selling the calcium carbonates directly to customers.

IzeCarb’s calcium carbonates production plant is located in Lampese, in the northern part of Edo State, Nigeria. It is the first of its kind in the region, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery.

Osayi Izedonmwen, chairman and founder, Izedon Carbonates, says that “at the heart of the company’s operation is the use of technology to redefine industry standards and provide premium products and services to drive customer satisfaction.

“With a focus on innovation and efficiency, IzeCarb’s approach leverages advanced technology to ensure high-quality production processes and seamless service delivery. By integrating cutting-edge machinery and digital solutions, we have optimized our operations to create a competitive edge in the market,” he said.

Here is how the company is doing it.

Ultrafine and Superfine Mills

The ultrafine and superfine mills grind dolomite into fine or micro powder. These finely processed calcium carbonates can match the quality of imported calcium carbonates and are used in a variety of applications, such as in oil and gas drilling fluids, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), paints and coatings, and Plaster of Paris (POP).

By ensuring top-notch quality in production, IzeCarb not only positions itself as a leader in the Nigerian market but also reduces the pressure on local companies to secure foreign exchange to import calcium carbonates.

Coating Machine

Izedon Carbonates is the first in Nigeria to deploy Electro-Hyper Flow coating machines to produce coated calcium carbonates.

The coating machine applies stearic acid and polyethylene glycol at sub-sonic speed in a high-temperature environment unto finely processed calcium carbonate powder to enhance the insolubility and water resistance of coated calcium carbonate products.

The finished coated product is one of the main products coming out of the new Izedon Carbonates factory and is used mainly by companies in the plastic and water-resistant cement industry.

Automatic Bagging Machine

The Izedon Calcium Carbonates production plant is the only plant in Nigeria with an automatic bagging machine.

The finely ground calcium carbonates from the mills go through a conveyor into the automatic bagging machine where they are weighed, filled, and sealed.

This technological innovation leads to increased efficiency, enabling the company to meet customer demand faster.

Online Order Tracking

Izedon Carbonates is the only calcium carbonates manufacturer in Nigeria with an end-to-end service delivery.

Customers place orders directly on the company’s website,  and the products are transported from the production plant directly to customers.

IzeCarb has also built a tracking mechanism into its website so that every shipment can be tracked until it is delivered.
