Hundreds of Startups across the African Financial services and technology space are set to benefit from the upcoming Ibadan Startup Festival scheduled to hold at the Manhattan Events Center, Jericho, Ibadan on 5th November, 2022.

Based on the mantra; ‘The more we connect, the more we solve’,the Fest is an avenue for early and growth stage startups to access exposure and networking opportunities as well as the necessary support needed to contribute their quota to the next phase of financial technology in Africa.

Additionally, registered startups will get the chance to participate in an investment pitch competition, the Pitch battle, in collaboration with Unicorn Den Africa and LIIT, where business gurus with start up ideas can sell their ideas and attract investors, access funding, mentorship, amongst other incentives.

According to David Adeleke, Ibadan Startup Festival convener and CEO Daxlinks Global, the Fest is designed to create a space that fosters innovation, networking and synergy across the African financial services and technology ecosystem.

“We’re presenting an opportunity for start-ups to increase their visibility and showcase their services and offerings to the over 1000 founders, investors, policy makers, corporates, media, banks, legislators, governmental representatives, policymakers, tech enthusiasts, and everyday consumers expected at the event.”

“Ibadan has a thriving startup space that merits promotion and more global exposure, investment and resources. We chose to have the festival in Ibadan city, because it is one of the fastest growing yet unrecognized startup spaces in the world. The Ibadan Startup Fest’22 is our response to the incredible potential we see in the market and a concerted effort to see this market thrive even more”, Tomilayo Akano said.

“Each session of the festival is targeted at putting the spotlight on African Fintech startups that are solving key problems in innovative ways. The curated global audience expected at the Fest presents an unmatched opportunity for businesses, founders and entrepreneurs to build impactful connections, meet prospects and leads for partnerships and investments,” he concluded.

The Ibadan Startup Fest’22 is powered by Daxlinks Global and proudly sponsored by, TomX Holdings, Seki App, Famasi Africa, Periculum, Cardify as well as StudioMiDE.

The media partners for the event include Real Studios, TechEconomy, TechNext, Orolane Content ConnectFreshFM Radio and BusinessDay NG.

The event is also proudly supported by the Oyo State Government.
