Telecom Solutions provider IMBIL emerged as the Telecom Support Solutions Company of the Year at the 2024 edition of the prestigious Tech Innovation Awards (TIA) held in Lagos over the weekend.

Making it a double honour for the company, its CEO, Mr. Akeem Ogunkoya was also named Telecom Personality of the Year, emphasizing the company’s immense contribution to the telecom sector.

Commenting on the awards, Ogunkoya said the awards came as a testament to the company’s commitment to harnessing the power of digital transformation to drive innovation in the Nigerian telecom industry.

“We are truly honoured to have been recognized at the 2024 Tech Innovation Awards. Winning Telecom Support Solutions Company of the Year is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire IMBIL team.

“Our commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and cutting-edge solutions to support the telecom industry remains unwavering, and this award further motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of excellence,” he said.

On his award, he said:

“Being personally named Telecom Personality of the Year is deeply humbling. This recognition underscores not only my efforts but also the collaborative spirit and expertise that define IMBIL.

“I am grateful for the incredible team I work with and for the trust our partners and clients place in us. As we look to the future, we are committed to driving more transformative solutions that will shape the telecom industry and enhance connectivity for people across the nation and beyond.”

Speaking during the awards presentation, Mr. Akin Naphtal, the chief executive officer of Instinctwave, the organisers of TIA, further noted that the awards are based solely on merit, recognizing those who deliver concrete results and transformative solutions.

“These accolades go beyond recognition. they are a call to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, driving change not just in technology but in the broader economic framework,” he added.

The awards ceremony brought together top figures from technology, business, and innovation, all united by the theme “Celebrating Excellence in Digital Innovations.”

With resilience woven into each story of success, the night honoured individuals and organisations that have adapted to and thrived despite an unpredictable economic landscape.

Other key winners of the TIA 2024 awards included MTN Foundation, celebrated for its impactful education and skill development initiatives; Zoracom, named Auxiliary Telecom Infrastructure Support Provider of the Year; and Zoho One, honoured as Best Unified Cloud Software Product of the Year.
