TECNO Camon 40 Review: The Personal Assistant That’ll Make You Super Productive

April 29, 2025

The Infinix GT 20 Pro is more than just a phone; it’s a revelation that redefines what we expect from gaming proficient devices.

The packing is a break away from the usuals!

From the moment the deliveryman handed the pack to me and I held the phone in my hands I knew this wasn’t an ordinary smartphone.

Have you felt like a phone was crafted for you? Let me tell you why I felt that way:

What is the Box?

  • The Infinix GT 20 Pro
  • USB Type C cable
  • 45W adapter
  • A stylish back cover,
  • A SIM ejector tool and
  • A quality screen protector with some application tools.

For the gaming kit, I get a cooling fan, a mag case and a pair of fingerprint covers to improve gaming performance.

Design, Display & Gaming

The design, sleek and elegant, are outstanding including the way the glass shimmered in the light and the smooth aluminum frame made it seem like a piece of art, not just a phone.

The phone

The display took my breath away. Every colour was so glowing, every detail so crisp. Watching movies, playing games, or even just scrolling through photos, the 120Hz refresh rate made everything feel alive, fluid, and incredibly engaging. It was as if the screen was a window to another world.

The sides have the volume and power buttons, and the USB Type-C port is at the bottom. There’s also an IR blaster, which is a nice feature for the price.

Infinix Mobile’s team did a great job with this phone. For instance, the Infinix GT 20 Pro incorporates a flat display due to its advantages during gaming and offers a 6.78-inch viewing area with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,436 pixels) resolution; updated 144Hz refresh rate, and 1300 nits peak brightness.

Infinix GT 20 Pro

I am also impressed with the display which gets 2,304Hz PWM [Pulse Width Modulation, a technique used in phone displays to control brightness] dimming to reduce eye fatigue with low brightness.

Overall, the viewing experience is sharp and punchy, thanks to the AMOLED panel.

Performance

Performance-wise, the Infinix GT 20 Pro exceeded all my expectations. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 ultimate 4nm 5G processor with up to 24GB [extended] RAM and 256GB ROM, it handled everything I threw at it with ease.

Whether I was multitasking between apps or indulging in a gaming marathon, the phone never lagged or stuttered.

It felt like a reliable companion that could keep up with my pace, no matter how demanding.

Camera

But it was the camera that truly stole my heart. Similar to its predecessor, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is headlined by a 108MP camera, which gets OIS (optical image stabilisation) support.

There are two more sensors on the back for macro and portrait shots. The front panel houses a 32MP camera inside a tiny hole-punch cutout.

The ultra-wide lens, the macro shots, the depth sensor – each brought a new dimension to my photography. Every picture told a story, every snapshot was a memory preserved in time. And the 32MP front camera made sure my selfies were always perfect, reflecting the best version of me.

By default, the Infinix GT 20 Pro prioritises balanced colours and white balance. As a result, photos may appear slightly bright while maintaining minimal contrast and shadows, all in a good way.

If you opt for AI-backed colour optimisation, the image can appear vibrant, perhaps more vibrant than the actual scene.

This may resonate with some users who want to up their social media game, but one’s got to be mindful while using the feature.

  • More on Camera

The primary camera also gets utilised for portrait shots, and the results are decent. The Infinix GT 20 Pro does an impressive job with the bokeh effect and edge detection.

However, with human subjects, the phone tends to beautify the skin complexion, even when the feature is disabled. As a result, the output can appear unnatural, although some users might appreciate the flawless effect on their skin.

The Infinix GT 20 Pro offers 4K recording at 60fps [Frames Per Second], which is a huge boost in the segment. The OIS again does a decent job with stability, even in 4K.

The front camera gets 2K recording support, a rarity among smartphones in the price range.

I am also impressed with the still and video performance of the 32MP front camera. The smartphone tends to smoothen your facial details, though it is capable of detecting a near-accurate complexion.

Battery and Charging Speed

Battery life was another area where the Infinix GT 20 Pro shone brightly. The 5000mAh battery meant I never had to worry about running out of power, even on the busiest of days.

Infinix GT 20 Pro

The Infinix GT 20 Pro gets a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging. While the charging speed is respectable,

Although, some competitions have started providing at least 67W charging, but the Infinix GT 20 Pro battery backup won’t disappoint. Yes, with 45W fast charging, those brief moments I did need to plug in were over in a flash.

It was liberating to know that my phone would always be ready to go, whenever I was.

This phone is not just a collection of impressive specs; it’s a symphony of design and performance that strikes an emotional chord. The in-display fingerprint sensor made me feel secure yet effortlessly connected.

The stereo speakers turned my music and videos into an immersive experience, filling my space with rich, full sound. Every feature seemed tailored to enhance my daily life in a meaningful way.

Infinix GT 20 Pro

Why you should Buy Infinix GT 20 Pro

  • This is a well-rounded smartphone that offers excellent value for money.
  • Its combination of a vibrant display, powerful performance, versatile camera system, and long battery life makes it an attractive option in the mid-range segment.
  • The Dimensity 8200 Ultimate and cutting-edge RAM tech offer snappy performance.
  • Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or a casual user, the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a compelling choice that delivers on multiple fronts.

Counter View

As man’s quest is insatiable, here are just two reasons one might consider as reasons not to buy:

  • The phone lacks an ultra-wide camera, which popular devices in the segment offer.
  • The 45W charging speed is average as compared to rivals.

But, here is my Verdict

The Infinix GT 20 Pro is a testament to what a smartphone should be – a seamless blend of beauty, power, and innovation.

It’s a device that doesn’t just meet expectations [of gamers and the likes] but creates an emotional connection, making every interaction feel special. This isn’t just a phone; it brings out the part of user’s life that he/she has grown to cherish deeply.
