Infinix Note 60 Ultra

At the Mobile World congress (MWC) 2026, smartphone brand Infinix unveiled its latest device in the Note lineup, the Infinix Note 60 Ultra, a near-flagship smartphone designed primarily for emerging markets.

Launched during the annual tech gathering in Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, the device blends premium design with high-end smartphone features at what is expected to be a competitive price point.

Unlike many smartphones announced during the week that focused heavily on incremental hardware upgrades, the Note 60 Ultra was built with a different strategy for Infinix.

The company appears to be pushing its popular Note series closer to the premium category, expanding beyond its traditional mid-range positioning.

This also shows a changing dynamic in the global smartphone market. While established premium brands such as Apple continue exploring ways to increase adoption in emerging markets, value-driven manufacturers like TECNO and Infinix are simultaneously moving upmarket by introducing more advanced features and refined designs.

What  Makes the Infinix Note 60 Ultra Unique

Beyond its sleek design and premium feel, several features take the Note 60 Ultra closer to flagship territory.

One of the most interesting improvements is the extended software support. Infinix says the phone will receive three years of Android updates and up to five years of security updates, signalling a shift toward longer-term device reliability and value for users.

Another great addition is satellite connectivity, which allows users to make calls and send messages even in areas where traditional mobile networks are unavailable. Until recently, this feature was largely limited to top-tier flagship smartphones.

Design is another area where the device stands out. The Note 60 Ultra was developed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the Italian design house known for its work on luxury sports cars.

The partnership introduces a motorsport-inspired aesthetic, complete with a lightweight aluminium frame that gives the phone a more premium feel.

For Nigerians, the Infinix Note 60 Ultra is a device that shows how innovative smartphones are becoming more efficient.

Across African markets, Infinix has maintained a strong presence, especially in Nigeria, where the demand for reliable yet affordable smartphones remains high.

In this context, the Note 60 Ultra reflects a shift toward offering more advanced features while still capturing the interest of price-sensitive users.

Altogether, the specs of the Note 60 Ultra show that Infinix is experimenting with ways to push beyond the typical mid-range smartphone experience we are used to.
