Modern transportation overcomes the inherent flaws of the traditional road transport system by utilizing innovative modes of mobility. Nigeria’s transportation sector has expanded and developed significantly in recent years.

The advent of multiple internet platforms for booking transportation has given users easier and more convenient access. Because of these platforms, Nigerians may now reserve transportation online, which speeds up, simplifies, and improves the efficiency of the process.

9jaBus is Nigeria’s top online bus ticketing and administration software platform, launched in Port Harcourt in 2019. The platform offers bus operators and passengers nationwide easy bus ticket buying and administration services.

9jaBus’ 3-in-1 SaaS solution provides a branded website, counter-ticketing, and enterprise resource planning (ERP). It also provides ticket sales service to bus operators that already have their online ticketing through API integration, which allows customers to purchase their tickets directly on its mobile app and website.

The platform’s SaaS service can be narrowed down to three key areas:

Time-saving: By avoiding lengthy lines and wait periods at booking offices, making transportation reservations through 9jaBus can help you save time. Users can schedule their transportation requirements whenever it’s convenient for them.

More Control: Users have more control over their transportation requirements when they book from the platform. They get to pick the kind of vehicle you want, the pickup and drop-off locations, and the mode of transportation. 9jaBus offers flexibility to customize travel plans to meet unique requirements and to amend reservations as needed.

Improved price: Riders can save money on their transportation needs by taking advantage of the competitive prices offered by 9jaBus.

In a call with Techeconomy, the founder of 9jaBus, Nurudeen Momodu, highlighted the lack of access to finance and zero collaboration in the transportation sector as some of the challenges the startup has experienced since it launched.

The founder noted that although he had reached out to several VCs (both foreign and domestic), the startup is yet to receive needed funding needed to effectively service the transportation sector.

Transportation services have moved from the manual method to the one aided by new technology which gives comfort to travelers to make bookings and reservations ahead of time rather than being in a queue waiting to get tickets. 9jaBus is capable of revolutionizing the way Nigerians and lots of people around the world travel, making the process more convenient, efficient, and cost-effective.
