OPPO today released the newest member of its A series smartphones, the OPPO A60, in Nigeria. With a premium and ultra-durable design, the A60 is certified with US Military-Grade Shock Resistance, guaranteeing its ability to withstand everyday challenges.

Featuring a 950-nit Ultra Bright Display with Splash Touch feature, the phone provides enhanced visual and seamless operation across all daily situations.

With larger storage and memory, a longer lasting 5,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, and more, the OPPO A60 offers smooth and stable performance with exceptional efficiency, making it the go-to companion for everyday work and play.

Trendy, Practical, and Durable Design

In keeping with the iconic thin and lightweight design of the OPPO A series, the ultra-slim OPPO A60 measures just 7.68mm in thickness and weighs approximately 186g.

OPPO A60 Ripple Blue and Midnight Purple

The stunning design of the A60 is further brought to life in two chic color finishes: Ripple Blue and Midnight Purple.

Ripple Blue is crafted with a unique Magnetic Particle Design that embeds the phone with a special texture reminiscent of rolling waves on a blue sea.

Midnight Purple offers a contrasting look with its shimmering, ever-changing shade of dark purple. Both models also feature a double-circle camera design within an oval panel decorative area that further adds to the premium flagship vibe the back cover.

This stunning design is also backed by exceptional reliability and durability. Tested against rigorous standards, including multiple heavy vibrations in three dimensions (X, Y, and Z), enduring 5000 kilometers of bumpy roads in a car without accessories, and surviving 26 drops from a height of 1.22m at various positions, the A60 demonstrates its exceptional durability by continuing to function flawlessly.

Thanks to this durability, it has become the industry’s first to receive certification for US Military-Grade Shock Resistance.

Next-level Display with Splash Touch

The OPPO A60 features a new ultra-bright, high-refresh-rate screen with a Splash Touch feature.

Capable of displaying at up to 950 nits peak brightness in sunlight, the screen delivers a 39% improvement over the previous generation device, making it easier to view content on the phone when outdoors, even under the brightest midday sunshine.

The 6.67-inch screen also supports a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, enabling users to enjoy smoother viewing experiences at all times.

The OPPO A60’s IP54 rating ensures protection against everyday splashes, while for the first time on a smartphone in its price range, it introduces an industry-leading Splash Touch feature to its screen.

Using an advanced touch detection algorithm within the touch chip, the A60 improves touch accuracy and responsiveness when the screen is wet, ensuring users can continue to operate the phone as normal when outside in the rain, while cooking, or during heavy-sweat gym sessions.

45W SUPERVOOC and 5000mAh battery with Four-year Longevity

The A60 features a large 5,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge. Capable of charging the battery to 50% in just 30 minutes, this combination ensures longer periods of use with less charging time required.

The battery has also been built to remain in optimal condition for up to four years of use, meaning users can continue to enjoy their A60 for longer without worrying about the need to replace the battery.

On top of this, the A60’s Smart Charging makes it easier than ever to monitor the health of the battery while preventing premature battery aging by optimizing charging according to each user’s individual charging and phone usage habits.

All-round Smoothness with Large Storage

At the heart of the phone is the 6nm Snapdragon 680 Mobile Platform, delivering a 10% increase in performance over the previous generation phones while significantly reducing power consumption.

With 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of ROM storage, the OPPO A60 offers larger memory and storage compared to other major competitors in the same price range. Using OPPO’s RAM Expansion feature, an additional 8GB of temporary RAM can be converted from unused ROM memory, allowing for even more applications to be kept alive in the background while providing smooth transitions when switching between multiple apps.

On the software side, ColorOS 14’s Trinity Engine provides a further boost to all-round smoothness and stability by improving the scheduling of hardware computing resources through advanced computing power models.

Thanks to these hardware and software upgrades, the OPPO A60 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM model has passed OPPO’s 48-Month Fluency Protection test, guaranteeing that the phone will provide long-term smoothness for at least four years of regular use.

Enhanced Audio Experience with Dual Stereo Speakers and Ultra Volume Mode

The OPPO A60 is equipped with Dual Stereo Speakers that deliver fuller and richer sound quality. In noisy environments, the A60’s Ultra Volume Mode makes it possible to increase the volume of the phone’s loudspeaker by up to 300%, making it easier to hear ringtones clearly, so users never miss an incoming call.

It also enables the maximum volume of the earpiece to be doubled during calls, ensuring conversations can be heard loud and clear at all times.

Powerful Cameras for Stunning Images

The OPPO A60 also makes it a breeze to capture stunning, high-quality images with its triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP Ultra Clear Camera, a 2MP Portrait Camera, and an 8MP Selfie Camera.

When combined with features like Portrait Mode, AI Portrait Retouching, and Dual-view Video, the A60 can capture crystal-clear, natural portraits and eye-catching videos that bring users’ creative visions to life with just a few simple taps.

Price of OPPO A60 in Nigeria:

Techeconomy gathered that OPPO A60 price In Nigeria starts from N158,460 to N200,160. It depends on one’s location, the store and your bargaining power.
