Invest Africa, a platform for promoting trade and investment on the continent, has announced a strategic partnership with S-RM, a global corporate intelligence and cybersecurity consultancy.
This collaboration between Invest Africa and S-RM aims to empower business leaders and investors in Africa by providing actionable intelligence and support for building resilient businesses.
The one-year partnership will focus on several key areas including enhanced risk navigation. S-RM’s expertise in integrity and operational risks will be leveraged to inform Invest Africa’s network of members, enabling them to make sound business decisions and scale through evolving regulatory, political, and environmental challenges. The partnership will also focus on cyber resilience. With Africa’s increasing reliance on digital technologies, S-RM’s cyber security expertise will be key in helping businesses build strong defences against cyber threats.
Another area is industry-leading intelligence. S-RM will share its insights and data with Invest Africa members, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the African market and its opportunities. S-RM’s on-the-ground presence in Africa, with over 50 practitioners, allows them to offer targeted support to Invest Africa members in their specific ventures and regions.
This partnership will be kickstarted at Invest Africa’s 11th Annual Mining Series in Cape Town, where S-RM will be featured as the Strategic Intelligence Partner. This event will be a platform for S-RM to engage with Invest Africa’s extensive network and showcase its capabilities.
Chantelé Carrington, CEO of Invest Africa, emphasised the importance of walking through the complex African business environment: “In today’s dynamic world, investors face a multitude of intertwined risks. This partnership with S-RM will equip our network with the rapid intelligence and support they need to make informed decisions and contribute to Africa’s socio-economic growth.”
Ian Massey, Head of Corporate Intelligence for S-RM in EMEA, highlighted the company’s long-standing commitment to Africa: “Supporting investment across Africa has been central to S-RM’s story for over two decades. We are excited to partner with Invest Africa to help investors unlock opportunities on the continent and build resilient businesses in the face of converging risks.”
