Healthcare leaders, investors, policymakers, and technology providers will gather in Lagos for the Hospital Investment & Buyer Leadership Forum to discuss how technology adoption can strengthen healthcare systems and improve service delivery across Africa.
The forum, organised as part of in collaboration with ABCHealth, will hold on 3 June at the Landmark Centre in Lagos.
The event comes amid rapid growth in Africa’s healthcare market, with increasing demand for diagnostics, medical supplies, digital health solutions, and healthcare infrastructure across the region.
According to organisers, the forum will serve as a strategic meeting point for healthcare buyers, investors, suppliers, and policymakers to examine how technology, innovation, and strategic partnerships can help hospitals improve operational efficiency, procurement systems, and patient care.
Under the theme, “Advancing hospital growth and innovation: Investment, strategic partnerships, and technology adoption in West Africa,” participants are expected to explore issues ranging from digital procurement systems and diagnostics infrastructure to healthcare financing, cold-chain logistics, and local manufacturing opportunities.
Industry stakeholders say healthcare providers across West Africa are increasingly adopting technology-driven procurement and supply-chain systems as they respond to rising costs, import dependency, foreign exchange pressures, and delays in accessing medical equipment and diagnostics.
Digital tools such as supplier-tracking platforms, e-procurement systems, and AI-driven healthcare marketplaces are also gaining traction across the region as governments and healthcare organisations seek to reduce stock-outs, improve transparency, and cut logistics costs.
Tom Coleman, portfolio director, Healthcare, Informa Markets, said the forum would help healthcare leaders identify practical solutions for building resilient healthcare systems.
“The Hospital Investment & Buyer Leadership Forum at WHX turns these challenges into opportunities,” he said. “Leaders can secure framework agreements with vetted suppliers, tap AfCFTA and policy incentives like Nigeria’s duty waivers, and build crisis-resilient systems.”
Also speaking ahead of the event, Dr. Mories Atoki, CEO of ABCHealth, said the gathering would create opportunities for collaboration and innovation across the healthcare ecosystem.
“We are excited to engage on key topics, from tools and systems hospitals prioritise for better care, to strategies strengthening facilities and workforce capabilities, innovative partnership models for resource and technology integration, and financing models enabling sustainable growth,” she said.
The wider is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors, 8,000 professional visitors, and over 30 international speakers showcasing innovations in medical devices, diagnostics, laboratory systems, digital health, and healthcare infrastructure.
New features at this year’s exhibition include an integrated Lab Zone for diagnostics demonstrations and a networking lounge designed to facilitate buyer matchmaking and commercial partnerships.
