Diginxt, a digital evcent that provide a platform to discuss organization’s achievements and objectives especially in the light of digital skills for development is set to hold in Lagos on the 21st of this month at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Alausa, Ikeja-Lagos.
The organizer of the event, Digivation Networks in a statement issued by Mr. Hillary Damissah, its Director of Communications, noted that the event shall discuss the gains and opportunities created by new policies and innovations and impacts made so far in the Nigerian rapidly growing digital space.
“DigiNext Forum provides a ground for breakthrough technologies where enterprise and solution-based innovations are unveiled. It’s a platform for Africa’s biggest brands to do business and meet new partners, sharpen innovation skills and knowledge before they hit the stage,” the statement reads.
It added that DigiNext Forum with the theme ‘Digital Economy, The New Wealth’, will not leave out the readiness of new technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cyber Security for national development.
Participation at the event will help throw more light on new capacities for future jobs and partnerships with private sector and to help Nigeria build new frontiers and deliver on the e-government initiatives of the country.
It will also features Digi Next Innovation Award, which is met to reward individuals, organizations and government institutions that have come up with technology innovations that are transforming Nigeria’s economic landscape.
According to the statement, the event will draw participation from the private and public sector. Some of those expected to grace the event, touted to be Africa’s most unique digital event are the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami and the Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta.
Others are DG, NITDA Mr Kasifu Inuwa, DG NIMC Engr. Aliyu Aziz, CEO/MD of Galaxy Back Bone Prof. Mohammad Abubakar and DG NOTAP Dr. Dan Azunmi.
Groups such as the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCI), United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Young Innovators from Nigeria’s technology hubs, Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Association of Licensed Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ALTON), Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Nigeria Internet Group (NIG) and the Nigeria Association of Computer Science Students (NACOSS).
