The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI’s) Trade Promotion Board on Tuesday, restated their readiness to host the highly anticipated 2023 Information Communication Technology and Telecommunications Expo (#ICTELEXPO2023).
In its 9th edition holding on July 25 and 26, 2023, at the prestigious Landmark Event Center in Victoria Island, Lagos, activities at ICTEL 2023 will revolve around the theme “Tech Disrupt: Transforming Industries with Innovation.”
ICTEL 2023 will offer an array of exciting activities, including a Start-Up Pitch Competition, exhibitions showcasing the latest IT hardware and gadgets, engaging conference sessions, insightful panel discussions, product launches, immersive experience centers, and practical demonstrations of cutting-edge technology trends.
With over 1,500 registered participants and almost all 40 exhibition booths sold out, ICTEL 2023 promises to be a highly engaging and impactful event.
Speaking during a press conference in Lagos, Kunle Adebowale, Chairman of the Specialized Exhibition Committee at LCCI, reechoed the event’s objective; to showcase the powerful forces of technological disruption and the creation of new economic opportunities, thereby fostering innovation across industries.
Adebowale extended his gratitude to Dr. Michael Olawale Cole, President and Chairman of the Council of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), for the continued support provided to the Trade Promotion Board.
He also acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the Specialized Exhibition Committee, the ICTEL Coopted Planning Committee, and the Secretariat staff, who have worked diligently to ensure the success of this leading tech conference and exhibition event.
Recognizing the media’s invaluable role as the voice of the private sector in Nigeria, Eng. Leye Kupoluyi expressed appreciation for their ongoing support.
He also acknowledged the support and endorsement of esteemed partners and collaborators, such as the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Galaxy Backbone Limited, Rack Centre, Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Exam Padi, Arnergy, and other reputable brands. Kupoluyi emphasized the importance of providing a platform for Nigerian startups to practically demonstrate their technological discoveries, enabling them to gain market share, enhance customer loyalty, and become more globally competitive.
Dr. Chinyere Almona, Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), highlighted that the event will include visually supported presentations on recent innovations in the agriculture sector, healthcare, and education delivery.
She acknowledged their crucial contribution to the success of the previous ICTEL event and emphasized the importance of their continued wide publicity to ensure the reach and impact of ICTEL 2023.
Almona also mentioned that exhibitors will have the opportunity to promote their products and services through product promo sessions, while tech startups will present their innovative ideas to potential investors and sponsors during pitch sessions.
Furthermore, secondary school and tertiary institution students will deliver presentations, and the entire event will be live-streamed on social media platforms.
