Dr. Aminu Maida, the executive vice chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has called for increased collaboration among stakeholders in the African telecommunications sector.

The EVC made the call while hosting Salima Monorma Bah, the minister of Communications, Technology and Innovation of Sierra Leone at the Nigerian Communications Commission’s office yesterday.

He said:

“As we shared the successes and challenges of the telecommunications industry in Nigeria and Sierra Leone, it was evident that though we differ—in economies, populations, and geography—we ultimately share similar challenges and success stories. This gives credence to the call for greater unity and collaboration within the continent. By comparing notes, we can pick lessons from each other.

“I look forward to deeper collaboration between the telecommunication industry of our countries”, the EVC reiterated.
