Micheal Arowolo is a remarkable personality, who has not only forged a highly successful path as a digital exchange founder, he has also made significant contributions as an IT GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) professional and a dedicated mentor to the next generation of tech talent.

Micheal’s journey in the digital exchange space began with a personal challenge: the high cost and slow nature of cross-border remittances.

This personal experience spurred the creation of Ikinghub, a revolutionary platform that has fundamentally transformed how young Nigerians engage with digital assets.

Under Micheal’s leadership, Ikinghub grew from a WhatsApp-based service to a thriving digital exchange, boasting over 2,000 active users and processing circa ₦750,000 in revenue.

The platform’s success in enabling the conversion of gift cards to cash and bridging the crypto-to-cash gap has been instrumental in offering affordable and efficient remittance solutions, directly impacting financial inclusion in Nigeria.

His work in conducting rapid risk assessments for third-party SaaS tools and developing a risk management playbook demonstrates a proactive stance on supply chain vulnerabilities.

Micheal Arowolo is credited to have developed and communicated actionable IT incident response playbooks and rolled out continuous security awareness programs, enhancing the firm’s overall cybersecurity resilience.

Micheal’s commitment to the tech community doesn’t stop at his professional roles. He is a passionate mentor to young, aspiring tech professionals, sharing invaluable insights gained from both his startup journey and their specialized GRC expertise.

This dedication to nurturing new talent underscores a holistic approach to advancing the digital landscape, ensuring that future innovators are well equipped to navigate its complexities.
