Motorola Launches New Edge Series Phones with AI Focus and Classy Design

Moto Edge

Motorola has revived a classic design element with its new Edge series phones built leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) for enhanced camera capabilities.

The three new models – Moto Edge 50 Fusion, Moto Edge 50 Pro, and Moto Edge 50 Ultra – meet a range of budgets and user preferences.

The Moto Edge 50 Ultra is the most feature-packed option, built with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.

Priced at £849 / €999, the phone comes with a quad-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, a 64MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP front-facing camera for high-resolution selfies and video calls.

Designed for affordability, £599 /€699, and quality, the Moto Edge 50 Pro features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage.

The triple-lens rear camera system on this model includes a 50MP main sensor, a 13MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The front-facing camera on the Pro model is also a quality 50MP.

The most budget-friendly option in the Edge series is the Moto Edge 50 Fusion priced at £349 / €399. This phone is built with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. It features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide sensor, while the front-facing camera comes in at 32MP.

All three phones have a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring a visually pleasing user experience. Additionally, the phones are water-resistant (IP68 rating) and run Android 14 with Motorola’s redesigned Hello UX user interface. This interface comes with more personalization options, improved gesture control, and enhanced security features.

Motorola has also highlighted the use of AI across all three Motorola Edge Series, including integration with Google Photos’ editing features like Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, and Photo Unblur. The series is set to launch in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania starting in April, with the Moto Edge 50 Pro launched today, April 16th.
