Nigerian entrepreneurs, Ugoo Chukwunyelu and Abiodun Oyekunle, have recently launched an e-commerce platform called Shopazhub, designed to empower African SMEs for cross-border trade.
In an official statement on Thursday, the co-founders emphasized that Shopazhub offers a user-friendly interface and a comprehensive suite of tools to seamlessly manage online and offline business operations.
The statement reads, “We are excited to announce the official launch of Shopazhub, an innovative e-commerce platform that empowers African SMEs to engage in cross-border commerce and efficiently manage their business operations.
Currently, Africa only contributes 2.9% to the annual international commerce despite over 90% of global trade taking place yearly. This is largely due to the challenges SMEs face when selling to multiple markets. Shopazhub is built to be an enabler, fostering cross-border commerce for small businesses, starting from Nigeria and expanding to other parts of the African market.”
According to the co-founders, setting up an online storefront on Shopazhub can be done in just five minutes, allowing businesses to quickly establish their presence and reach a wide customer base across multiple markets.
Chukwunyelu, the CEO, expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce Shopazhub and our mission to empower African SMEs, equipping them with the necessary tools to thrive in the global marketplace.”
