Cutix Plc, one of Nigeria’s leading cable and wire manufacturers, has announced key leadership changes at the top of its corporate structure.

Mrs Uchechukwu Igbokwe has been named Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following the exit of former CEO Mrs Ijeoma Oduonye.

In the same vein, Mrs Uche Okonkwo has been named the Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO), taking over from Mr Chidi Onwudiwe.

Both appointments took effect on March 5, 2026, as the company continues its search for permanent replacements. The company did not disclose reasons behind the board changes.

Meet the New Leadership Team

The board, led by Chairman Barr. (Mrs.) Ifeoma Regina Nwahiri, expressed strong confidence in the new appointees, highlighting their extensive experience within Cutix.

Igbokwe is a veteran at Cutix, having joined the firm back in 1992. Over the last 34 years, she has worked in various departments in the company including the Finance Department, and the HR Department among others. She is an Accountant by training.

Mrs Uche Okonkwo (Acting CFO): A Chartered Accountant with a degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, she brings years of experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance to the table.

While the leadership change is the big news, investors are keeping a close eye on the company’s report card for the year.
