A Nigerian communications strategist and artificial intelligence advocate, Dr. Celestine Achi, has been recognised among the Top 25 Applied AI Trainers globally, a milestone that underscores Nigeria’s growing influence in the global AI ecosystem.

Achi, who is the CEO of Cihan Media, earned the international recognition for his contributions to AI training, particularly across African institutions where he has played a pivotal role in building capacity and promoting responsible AI adoption.

The recognition has drawn commendations from key industry stakeholders, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), which described the achievement as both a personal and national milestone.

In a congratulatory letter dated March 20, 2026, Ike Neliaku, the president of NIPR, noted that the honour is “a testament to your personal dedication, expertise, and leadership in the field of artificial intelligence.”

He added that Achi’s accomplishment represents “a proud moment for Nigeria and the broader African continent,” highlighting the increasing relevance of African professionals in shaping emerging technologies globally.

According to NIPR, Achi’s work in AI training has continued to inspire a new generation of professionals while reinforcing the importance of ethical and impactful technology deployment.

The institute emphasised that his contributions are helping to position Africa as a hub for innovative and responsible AI development.

The letter further acknowledged the global significance of his recognition, stating that it “reflects the growing global relevance of African thought leadership in emerging technologies.”

Industry observers say Achi’s recognition comes at a time when demand for AI skills is accelerating worldwide, with organisations increasingly seeking trainers who can bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.

NIPR also commended his commitment to innovation and professional development, expressing confidence that the recognition marks “yet another step in your continued contributions to knowledge, development, and professional advancement within and beyond our shores.”

Achi’s inclusion in the global Top 25 list reinforces Nigeria’s expanding footprint in the digital economy and highlights the critical role of local experts in shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
