NIMC Live Chat Customer Support Now Live

The National Identity Management Commission has introduced two new digital customer support channels aimed at improving accessibility, responsiveness, and service delivery for Nigerians and legal residents seeking assistance with National Identification Number related enquiries.

The Commission said as part of ongoing reforms and transformation initiatives under the leadership of Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the DG/CEO, a Live Chat feature has been enabled on its official website and an official WhatsApp support platform to provide Nigerians and legal residents with faster, more convenient, and real-time access to support services.

Confirming the development to Techeconomy, Kayode Adegoke, head, Corporate Communications Unit at NIMC, said that members of the public can now connect with NIMC through:

  • Live Chat Support on the official NIMC website here.
  • Official NIMC WhatsApp Support Line: +234 701 566 6971

“The initiative reflects the Commission’s commitment to service innovation, citizen-centered engagement, and efficient identity management service delivery in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), aimed at improving public sector efficiency and enhancing access to government services through technology-driven solutions.

“The newly introduced platforms are designed to provide prompt responses to enquiries, real-time guidance, and improved customer interaction from anywhere and at any time, reducing the need for physical visits while enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.

“Under the visionary leadership of Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, NIMC continues to implement strategic reforms and innovative digital solutions focused on expanding access, strengthening public trust, and improving service delivery for all Nigerians and legal residents”, Adegoke said.

Continuing, he said, “The Commission encourages the public to take advantage of these official communication platforms for verified information, prompt assistance, and updates regarding NIN services and other identity management matters.

“NIMC further advises citizens to remain vigilant and engage only through its official communication channels to avoid misinformation and fraudulent activities”, he concluded.
