The .ng domain, a vital national asset representing Nigeria’s online identity, is entrusted to the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), a stakeholder-driven organization dedicated to managing and maintaining the .ng domain name.
NiRA’s mission revolves around fostering growth in .ng domain name registration and advancing the Domain Name System (DNS) industry.
To honour the champions of this mission, NiRA proudly presents the .NG Awards which is in its 6th edition.
The 2023 .NG Awards stand as a testament to the outstanding contributions of individuals, organizations, and the public to the growth and promotion of the .ng domain name.
These awards recognize the innovation and accomplishments within the Nigerian internet landscape. The full list of nominees for each category is now available on the voting portal, and nominees in each category can be voted for here.
Scheduled for Friday, 17th November 2023, the 6th .ng Awards represent the latest edition of this prestigious event, launched initially during NiRA’s 10th Anniversary in 2016.
It is essential to note that NiRA does not assign any monetary value to the awards or impose any fees for nominations or selections. Furthermore, NiRA does not accept sponsorships or donations for the .NG Awards. The process is entirely transparent, with nominations and votes solicited from the public.
The public began submitting nominations for the 6th .NG Awards on Thursday, 24th August 2023, and the submission deadline was midnight on Sunday, 17th September 2023.
The voting phase for the shortlisted nominees commenced on 25th September 2023 and ends at midnight on Tuesday, 24th October 2023. We appreciate your active involvement and encourage you to cast your votes for your preferred organizations, businesses, or individuals across various categories here
