PUBG MOBILE, a dominant force in global mobile gaming and one of the most played battle royale experiences in the world has launched its Version 4.4 Update, unveiling its most expansive content drops to date.
The update blends mythological storytelling, enhanced squad systems, and deeper gameplay mechanics to deliver a refreshed experience for players across Nigeria and beyond.
The update, which will be available till July 7, 2026, introduces Hero’s Crown, a new themed mode inspired by ancient Greek mythology.
Classic battlegrounds across Erangel, Livik, and Rondo are reimagined with striking environmental changes and new combat hotspots, including redesigned zones such as Yasnaya Polyana, Ruins, Ferry Pier, and Mylta.
The highlight of the mode is the Crown’s Abode, a floating endgame arena where top squads compete for high-tier rewards while facing Helios, a powerful centaur boss. Throughout each match, players earn Glory by completing themed trials that test different combat and teamwork skills.
These include Achilles’ speed-based challenges, Spartan survival defence waves, Prometheus’ fire-lighting objectives, and Icarus’ aerial obstacle courses, alongside additional Gryphon mini-games that appear across the map.
New myth-inspired gameplay tools further deepen strategy and mobility. Players can activate the Heart of Fury dash ability for combat bursts, deploy the Battle Flag to boost teammates within a zone, or use Wax Wings to glide across terrain for repositioning.
A standout addition is the Laurel – M1 Garand, a weapon that evolves visually as players progress. In a unique gameplay twist, defeating Helios allows squads to recruit him as a temporary ally with offensive and support abilities.
Classic Mode also receives meaningful upgrades. The new Roadster convertible introduces high-speed traversal with turbo boost capabilities, while the Panzerfaust becomes more widely available across maps.
The JS9 weapon sees expanded distribution, accompanied by broad weapon balancing adjustments across rifles, shotguns, and sniper categories. Livik also introduces a new Spawn Island designed for pre-match interaction and squad coordination.
To enhance social gameplay, the new Flash Crew system helps players connect with compatible teammates, build Rapport, and unlock shared rewards through improved coordination.
World of Wonder expands further with a standalone lobby, mid-match join functionality, and streamlined creator tools for easier map discovery and development.
Metro Royale returns with Chapter 32, featuring a PvE encounter with Helios, while Season 30 introduces Ranked Arena updates, Weekend Joy events, and the return of the Dinoground mode. Home Mode also expands with the Starfall Sanctuary Home Style, Crew Celebrations, Parking Lot gameplay updates, and new competitive features.
PUBG MOBILE is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. Version 4.4 Update will be available until July 7th, 2026.
