Enterprise software runs on APIs, but connecting them is still frustratingly manual. Every workflow change, system upgrade, or edge case generates new tickets, usually requiring expensive consultancy.
Refold AI, a startup rethinking integrations from the ground up, is coming out of stealth today with $6.5 million in funding and a platform designed to replace outsourced service work with AI-native infrastructure.
The seed round is led by Eniac Ventures and Tidal Ventures, with participation from Better Capital, Ahead VC, Karman Ventures, Z21, and other notable angels. Refold plans to use the funds to expand its engineering team, deepen product integrations, and support its growing enterprise customer base.
Refold AI was founded by the team behind JustDoc (acquired by Reliance), who experienced the integration headache firsthand in massive SAP environments, where a single field change could trigger days of downtime and six-figure escalations.
“We were spending more time managing chaos than building software,” said Jugal Anchalia, Refold’s co-founder and CEO. “Integrations are repeatable and cumbersome; they shouldn’t need humans.”
Currently, Refold serves over 30 paying enterprise customers, including Incorta and Naehas. The company has doubled its user base in just two months, supporting more than 1,500 active users and processing over 30 million API calls per month, with ARR already in the seven figures.
How Refold Works
Refold flips the traditional integration model. Instead of hiring teams or relying on middleware, companies deploy Refold’s autonomous agents, small AI programs that:
- Workflow Code Agents: Generate, test, and maintain integration logic for engineers without boilerplate.
- MCP Chains: Allow business teams to describe desired outcomes in natural language, automatically generating working workflows.
- Embedded Integrations Platform: Provides SaaS teams with plug-and-play tools for native integrations, including prebuilt UI components.
Together, these layers let enterprises turn edge-case service requests into repeatable software products in days, not months.
Real-World Impact
Refold’s agents have already delivered measurable results: automating finance reconciliations, unifying inventory and order systems, and building real-time ERP-CRM pipelines, projects that once took quarters are now completed in days and maintained without support tickets.
“We’re not building another workflow tool,” said Abhishek Kumar, co-founder & CPO. “We’re replacing the consultant economy with agents that learn and scale. Integrations should be free, fast, and invisible.”
Growth and Vision
With a 20-person team across San Mateo and Bangalore, Refold plans to grow to 30 by year-end while expanding its enterprise integration catalog and pushing toward zero-friction deployment.
Investors are enthusiastic about the potential. “For decades, companies have burned billions on brittle, bloated workflows. Refold has rebuilt the stack from the ground up to make integrations seamless and intelligent,” said Hadley Harris, founding general partner at Eniac Ventures.
Nicholas Muy, venture partner at Tidal Ventures, added: “Finally, someone is fixing the most broken part of enterprise software. Refold’s AI agents don’t just patch problems—they eliminate them.”
With enterprises modernising their AI stacks, Refold aims to become the invisible logic layer that makes it all work—quietly, autonomously, and without costly consultants.
