Spending time with family, friends and loved ones is always a treat, especially now that the new year is upon us.

MeeTime on Huawei AppGallery

However, it is not always possible to make this happen. You may not be able to make it home, or you may be separated from loved ones by thousands of kilometres or even geographical borders.

Thanks to advances in technology, connecting with those you care about has never been easier.

Audio and video calls allow you to experience all the fun moments, even if you can’t be there in-person.

Apps that have these features are a dime a dozen, but one that is generating a lot of buzz at present is MeeTime.

To date, the app has over 1.3 million downloads from AppGallery, demonstrating the popularity of it.

Developed by Huawei Services, and touted as the app that will revolutionise your video calling experience, MeeTime offers high definition video calling and crystal clear voice calls on select Huawei smartphones, tablets, smart watches and smart TVs.

A key differentiator is that MeeTime calls remain clear and fluid even under poor network conditions, using Huawei’s GPU Turbo, keeping users connected wherever they go.

Other MeeTime features include:

Seamless screen sharing:

If you are unsure about something, say an online purchase and need your friend’s assistance, explanations are made clearer by the screen sharing function.

Activated during a video call, key parts of the conversation can also be marked for future reference. This feature is currently supported on the jd.com, vip.com, Maimai, and MiniCAD platforms.

One-touch beauty settings:

Want to ensure that you look your best for an important video call, for example a job interview? This feature allows you to switch freely between a vast arrays of beauty settings during video calls to enhance your appearance.

Low-light enhancement:

Night-time video calls and those made in low-light situations are no longer a frustration for you. Just enable the low-light enhancement feature by clicking the onscreen light bulb icon to illuminate your surroundings, and bring new details to light no matter the time or place of the call.

Screen doodling:

Sometimes pictures say more than words ever could. How about drawing on the screen to clarify or add more to what you are saying?

MeeTime is available from AppGallery, and can be downloaded by clicking here (note: only compatible with select Huawei devices).
