Samsung is gearing up for its first Unpacked event of the year, promising a mind-blowing experience with the introduction of the Galaxy S24 series.

Anticipation is high as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are set to push forward the Android smartphone experience in 2024.

Scheduled for January 17, the Unpacked event in San Jose will include Samsung’s latest premium Galaxy innovations, designed to enhance the way users live, connect, and create. The event will be live-streamed on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and Samsung’s YouTube channel, commencing at 10 a.m. PST, 1 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. GMT, and 7 p.m. CET.

While teasers and trailers are expected in the lead-up to the event, recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy S24 series will be equipped with AI-powered features under the upcoming One UI 6.1. Reports include additions, including Browsing Assist AI enhancements. These features encompass the ability to highlight key elements on webpages, language translation, and the creation of summarised versions of articles, promising improved productivity for users navigating daily tasks.

Notably, the One UI 6.1’s Gallery app is rumored to introduce video compression capabilities. Additionally, users may have the flexibility to select portions of videos and seamlessly create slow-motion versions without the need for external applications. The efficacy of this feature will likely be a focal point during the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event.

Beyond the aforementioned features, the Galaxy S24 series is expected to debut further AI-driven functionalities. Samsung Notes may introduce note summarisation, real-time language translation during calls could become a reality, and a wallpaper generator along with AI-generated effects for lock screen wallpapers are anticipated. The phones might even offer the capability to erase elements from images and videos, showcasing Samsung’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Counting down to the Unpacked event, tech enthusiasts eagerly await Samsung’s unveiling of these AI-powered features, eager to experience firsthand the capabilities of the Galaxy S24 series and One UI 6.1.
