A leading Nigerian data company, Statisense, has announced the launch of its AI platform designed to empower businesses across Africa.

StatiSense is a data consulting firm launched in 2012 to provide data services to individuals, industries, governments, and civil society.

Statisense is the top data visualization company in Nigeria, with over 500 million impressions across digital channels to date and a subscriber base of over 150,000. Its data sharing service is used by everyone from consumers to business executives, industry titans, and governmental organizations.

Statisense is developing into an AI platform for Businesses with open APIs for developers, going beyond data sharing and visualization in response to the growing demand for AI-driven analytics.

The shift, according to Rihannat Amoo, Head of Products, is a recognition of an opportunity beyond data collection and visualization, to deliver revolutionary solutions for daily businesses. According to him, the firm believes that custom-developed AI tools will redefine the playbook for businesses across Africa.

Africa’s failure to organize and convey its data in a way that allows businesses, governments, and consumers to make swift decisions is one of its largest issues. The new AI solution from Statisense will concentrate on issues with banking, insurance, identity discovery, financial market insights, document analysis, and other industries.

Femi Bejide, co-founder of Statisense, stated that the company is still committed to maintaining its freemium macroeconomic insights offering through its social channels despite its AI shift. “It is what brought us to this point in the first place, and our upgraded AI platform will only help users receive more of our data service.”

Jude Francis, CTO Statisense, also commented, “We are providing a platform that helps convert any dataset into conversation, industry grade reports and instant infographics For example, in one of our many use cases, we have trained our model to be able to make sense of financial reports and generate insights from them the way a Big Four consultant would, all within a few seconds.”

In addition to focusing on niche industry, Statisense will provide services like borrower insights, market analysis for trading and decisioning, invoice and payment insights, credit modeling, portfolio insights, etc.
