Team Mega Mind Wins CVSpan 2024 Design Jam

CVSpan, a startup that specializes in creating exceptional user interfaces and empowering individuals with the skills to master the art of UI/UX design, has successfully hosted its ‘Design Jam’, Techeconomy can report.

The team of young people delivers cutting-edge solutions that drive success for their clients.

With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and exceptional quality, CVSpan strives to exceed expectations and make a meaningful impact in the digital landscape.

Contestants

The CVSpan Design Jam competition was contested by TrailBlazers; MasterMinds; A-Team; Maverick, and Goal Diggers, who showcased creativity and innovation throughout the competition.

Judges

CVSpan Design Jam was made possible through the efforts of seasoned judges who examined the pitches by contestants.

They include, Oluwaseyi Fatunmole, a seasoned Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience building mobile apps across FinTech, EdTech, e-Commerce, and Investments; Oluwabamise Alo who brought a powerhouse of experience in product management across FinTech and banking; Tolu Adibe, an innovator who has racked up 7+ years of experience as a Solution Delivery Manager, tackling projects across SaaS, FinTech, and beyond, and Precious Nnamani, a self-taught product designer with a mission: tech accessibility for everyone.

Others are, Rowland Okondor. He brought over 8 years of experience conquering the world of Banking and FinTech, to bear; Toye Fatolu offered a lot of insights to the contestants as he assess them following his over 8 years of experience blending design, art, and technology into innovation magic.

Also, Olawale Olowu, a project management pro and has been navigating complex projects for over 14 years, from budgeting to flawless execution.

Other members of the Design Jam committee include, David Arfo, the program manager, and Charles Eshimokhai, director of projects at CVSpan (who also was the host of the event) played critical roles in ensuring the event had an efficient flow.

Speaking at the event, Moses Arfo, co-founder/CEO of CVSpan, said the ‘Design Jam’, is “part of the team’s effort at empowering aspiring techies through UI/UX design education, and helps organizations improve their products with user testing and design client-focused”.

In addition, discussions at the more than 100-person event focused on user-centered design principles, ERP solutions, and design sprints.

Speakers discussed the importance of creativity, practical solutions, and collaboration in design sprints, while emphasizing the need for inclusivity and accessibility in design.

They also highlighted the challenges faced by small businesses in managing their operations and the importance of designing user-friendly ERP systems to address these challenges.

The speakers emphasized the need to understand the target audience’s pain points and problems in product design and to implement usability heuristics while balancing esthetics and functionality.

At the end of the competition, the winning team, Mega Mind, was awarded the sum of N300,000, with each team member getting N100,000.

The winnera include Oluwaseyi Olowu, Ime Uboh and Elizabeth Onioshun.
