TikTok Takes on Prime Day with “Deals For You Days”: Beauty Deals, Live Shopping

TikTok is entering the sales event space with “Deals For You Days”, a major sale kicking off July 9th in the US.

Similar to Amazon’s Prime Day, which has been slated for July 16th and 17th, Deals For You Days will feature exclusive discounts on select products from popular brands like L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, NYX Professional Makeup, Our Place, Too Faced, and Zwilling USA.

This provides a unique opportunity for shoppers to snag their favorite items at bargain prices. The TikTok Shop sale is coming with a wide range of discounted items across various categories.

Shoppers can expect to find deals on trending fashion and beauty products, perfect for refreshing their summer wardrobes and beauty routines.

Also, the sale will feature backyard entertainment essentials and decor to enhance outdoor gatherings, along with summer reading bestsellers to keep bookworms entertained.

Interestingly, brands and creators will participate in the event through content challenges for short-form videos. This approach leverages the power of TikTok’s core functionality, allowing for creative and engaging product introductions and promotions.

Taking things a step further, Deals For You Days will also feature live shopping events. This interactive format allows brands and creators to directly connect with their followers and showcase their products.

Shoppers can tune in to these live events for exclusive discounts and special offers on popular trending products in real time. Some notable names participating in these live events include Benefit Cosmetics, COOLA, beauty influencer Stormi Steele, and the highly anticipated appearance of beauty guru Tati Westbrook.

This sales extravaganza is enhancing TikTok’s e-commerce growth. The company has big goals, aiming to expand its TikTok Shop US business tenfold to $17.5 billion this year.

With Deals For You Days, TikTok Shop is a competitor to Amazon in the sales event space, and also to fellow Chinese-owned e-commerce companies Temu and Shein, which have seen huge success in the US market.

TikTok’s focus on e-commerce isn’t a random move. Social commerce sales are projected for explosive growth in the coming years. According to eMarketer forecasts, social commerce sales are expected to more than double from $67 billion in 2023 to $144.5 billion by 2027.

Deals For You Days will enable TikTok Shop to capitalize on this rapidly growing trend, leveraging its massive user base and unique social commerce features to become big in the e-commerce industry.
