Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) announced the appointment of Ms. Atinuke Kolade as the new Group Company Secretary, effective December 3, 2024.

This development was disclosed in a notification signed by the Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communication Deshola Shittu to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX). Ms. Kolade succeeds Mr. Stanley Chikwendu, who has transitioned to a new role within the Group.

Ms. Kolade is a seasoned legal professional with over 18 years of experience as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

She has demonstrated expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic legal advisory across industries such as power, oil and gas, financial services, and healthcare.

She previously served as Group Head of Retention and Growth at Avon HMO, where she spearheaded strategic initiatives that drove a 347% revenue increase in 2023–2024. Prior roles include General Counsel and Company Secretary at Avon HMO and Subsidiary Governance Officer at Heirs Holdings, where she developed governance frameworks that streamlined operations across multiple subsidiaries.

Ms. Kolade is an alumna of the University of Ibadan and Lagos Business School and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. Her extensive expertise and leadership will further strengthen Transcorp’s governance and operational excellence.
